This place is close to my job about 3 minute walk. I was a little disappointed because the menu decreased and they got rid of sweet potato fries but they still have mashed sweet potatoes. πŸ–’πŸ˜†β€ The host is always nice as well as server and they dont forget about u. Lol. The food is excellent everytime I've come here.

We wandered in without any preconceived notions and were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Within minutes of ordering, my wife's cocktail arrived at our table and the food was not far behind. It was hot, fresh, and tasty. I was a bit sad they were out of the bacon wrapped meatloaf for the evening getting since it was only 630 but I ordered the Queen City Chicken which was very good. They only had angry orchard as their hard cider but if you are looking for beer it looks like they have dozens on tap.

Great location for post-work happy hours. The menu is quite large and the beer list is even bigger. This spot is spacious, but tends to get noisy during peak hours which makes large group conversation a little difficult. The staff always offers to split the check however it makes sense to the table which is always a relief since that's usually an awkward moment and the end of each group meal. The nachos are highly recommended!

I went to BlackFinn on a Monday after work and it was great! I loved that it was big and open and the women's bathroom was fancy (priorities). My friend and I had an the soft pretzel appetizer (delicious), drinks (the sangria was excellent, the martini was pretty strong), and then dessert. The BlackFinn Hot Chocolate might be the most wonderful thing I've ever consumed in my life. It's not a drink, it's a brownie/type chocolate thing filled with peanut butter and covered in ice cream. EAT IT. We were sitting at the bar and it took a really long time for our dessert to come out, about 15 minutes, so the bartender and manager both apologized and comped it for us.

I was a fan of the Blackfinn Ameripub in River North long before it officially opened to the public. I have been there for drinks and appetizers, brunch, and I even hosted an event there. I think it is a great place to meet up with friends whether it be for a dinner, drinks at the bar, watch your favorite game, or whatever. Plus the staff is incredible. I always get great service and they are always focused on pleasing their guests. When I organized an event there they did everything they could to make sure it was perfect and I couldn't have been happier with the end result. I also really love their cocktails and apps, especially the pretzel bites with the most amazing cheese/mustard dipping sauce. So good! I had been dying to try their brunch and finally made it out one Sunday. Though their brunch menu is nothing exciting I enjoyed it. I ordered the quesadilla egg scramble and it was a large portion, very tasty, and filling, too. And of course I had to try one of their bloody marys. They have 4 options. I went in for the kill with the Bacon Bloody Mary and I was very pleasantly surprised. It was delicious! I would definitely return to Blackfinn! My only gripe is that with the 4 Bloody Mary options I strongly feel they should offer a bloody mary flight! Add it to the menu.... PLEASE!!!!!!!

Great Selection, they often have hard to find beers like Gumballhead. I have not eaten there often, but what I've had was very good. Also, it is cheap compared to other places in the area, especially if you buy a growler.

Huge new American pub style restaurant in River North with lots of seating, big booths and an even bigger bar! Blackfinn is a chain and kind if feels like one, but the menu is chock full o' choices with lots of salads (I had the ranch chicken which had a zesty dressing), flatbreads, sandwiches burgers and pastas. Best of all, they offer half priced wine on Wednesdays (by the glass and bottle!) and have a beer and burger special for Thursday, plus weekday lunch combos - - many of which are under $10.

Stopped in for drinks but it was a good experience. Bar staff took care of us in short order and we had great conversation. Menu looked interesting so that'll be the next visit.

We had an alumni get together here with a party of almost 30 people. The server was new but she had help of a more experienced server. Overall, the prices are fair and the service was good.

Bartenders were not attentive but you can choose from a very large selection of craft beer for $3.25-$4.00 for 9 ounce pours. Good deal.

I was looking for a place with gluten-free offerings and they have a decent selection. My food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!
