Love coming to this place last time I was here was a couple of years ago. Food is always great and so is the service. Had the fish and chips, super large portion but super delicious. 10/10
They saved me by quickly bringing a Pepsi & cherry juice for my low sugar complication. Meatloaf is tasty without the sauce. The ribs are really good.
We hosted an event here (our wedding) in August. The spaces they have available are roomy and aesthetically pleasing, which was not the norm for the other places we looked at. We enjoy coming to the Fireside during winter. It has a decent menu. Food is good. The heated patio in back is spacious. The dining room has a fireplace which is cozy. You can have drinks in the bar area and then transition to dinner which makes it very versatile.
Oh, Fireside. This would have been a 5 star review if I had only kept my visit to brunch. My brunch experience here was amazing - I had the breakfast sandwich and a life-changing banana cake (better than carrot cake). The service is great and the patio is roomy while also being cozy.

We stayed for a week in Edgewater area of Chicago and this place somehow became our mandatory go to place for a late night food and a drink. I met a friend here tonight for dinner. We had a couple drinks and dinner and everything was great. The service was very prompt and friendly. The ribs were excellent and a very good size slab. Overall nice atmosphere, staff was great, attentive maybe sometimes not too knowledgeable of liquor selection or menu items. My fish did not gave any other seasoning but salt an pepper, even though menu listed orange flavor with dill. Plain flavors overall. Other than that good enough.
This place is a Hidden Gem! Wonderful, independently owned restaurant right inside a wonderful Ravenswood Avenue neighborhood. All of our food was cooked to order and was delivered to our table piping hot. I give this restaurant five stars!
This place is incredible. I came here with two groups of friends for some very late night food and a few drinks. I was shocked by how incredible the food is.. (burgers, pastas, sandwiches, ribs, apps, all amazing) - then the staff is super friendly and the drinks are good. Can’t wait to keep coming
