We were there with friends from Richmond, Virginia. They had a great time, our waitress was very welcoming to them. The pizza was very good. Wished we had more time to enjoy the food, but they only had a 4 hours stopover from Amtrak👍🏻
I have been there maybe 75 times, love it, and Lynn, the best waitress in the world!
My first time here and it's been really good so far! My server is very nice and this food is amazing I need to come back and try the rest of the menu
Love Salernos been going for years. Know the owner, I always recommend it to tourists who want a real Chance pizza.

The food is delicious. It's like being at Grandma's table. The bruchetta is amazing.
My new favorite place when Im back home. Chicken Cacciatore was so good. Thank you!
Great service, always with Michael. Great food. Abundant leftovers. I go there every time I visit my friends in the city.
Omg first time there and we had the pizza and calamari was so good cant wait to come back and try the pasta!!!
Delicious and amazing as always!
Old school delicious from nonna’s kitchen!
Excellent traditional Italian dining place to take the whole family to.
Great for dates and entertainment.
One side is a full bar. The other side is a table dining area.
Food is delicious!
Wine menu and huge beer selection.
They have a small parking lot in the back and there is also paid meter parking. If you're lucky, you may find free parking in side streets
It is one of the best Italian places in Chicago.
Everything is delicious on the menu very kids friendly.
They have a bar side and a dining room side.
If you want to host a private event, they will accommodate you.
Typical Italian menu with a large wine and beer selection.
There is a small parking lot in the back of the restaurant. If it is full there is street parking some paid meters and some side street free.
I was told this place had some good thin crust pizzas, so I had to try it before leaving. We just ordered a small pizza and some mussels. The pizza was pretty good (not square cut because of the size of the pizza). The Salerno Special Pizza was pretty thin, and the toppings definitely weighed down on it.
The thin pizza was delicious. We ordered a 14” hot Italian pizza. Well done. Just the right amount of sauce and giardiniera. The place was very clean and lively with people who felt like old friends. Our waitress Janessa was very attentive. I ordered a side salad and she made it herself with love. We will be back!
Authentic Chicago Pizza spot. Beautiful bar with huge open windows and a patio. Larger parking lot. Back room for party rentals. The antipasta salad and Supreme Pizza are great choices. They have one of the best gravy (sauce u shleps) around!
One of our fave places for takeout. Their pasta is one of the best that travels well and their portions are huge. Also great casual atmosphere inside. Family friendly and great time at the bar (full menu service)
We went for pizza during a visit to Chicago. I saw it was close to our hotel and on bar stools pizza review list. It's a great spot. Wasn't impressed by the pizza. It wasn't bad. Just average pizza. Many other menu items looked good. Worth a stop if you're in the area.
Flavorful, tasty good pizza🍕 in The 312! Great service and nice environment ... I loved the overhead music played! 🎶 I would definitely dine again there and I highly recommend you do, too!
One of the first places I went to when I moved to Chicago -- great food and great service. Felt at home right away. As I was leaving that day (Oak Park location) one of the employees noticed my front license plate was missing a screw and was about to fall off. The man told me to wait, went inside and got a screw and a screwdriver and fixed it for me.
I often go to the location near my work -- on Grand, and they treat me like family there as well. They know the table I like to sit at, and always welcome me into the place. Food and service has always been first rate. Can't say enough good about Salerno's.
My favorite place in the whole world...love the food and the people so nice and personable. I'm from Milwaukee and always wanted to ask is Salerno's the same family that have pizza at the stadiums. If so, my intuition have been right for years..lol. Love you all thank you for your hard work.
One of the best organizations family owned pizza 🍕 restaurant close to the loop 👌 🙌 Awesome know the owners been a customer for over 30 years My colleagues love this place after my retirement they still go here a lot of Tribune employees visit Salernos we love your service Mike and Family I still wish you had one in the burbs I know there is one but it's a slight different 😀 😊 👍. Had a Blast visiting a must try every one grand and racine go there you won't be disappointed.
This location doesn’t disappoint with the pasta and pizza. All ingredients were really fresh! And the staff was nice.
Good spot if you just want a pizza and some beers while the game is on, or before the game. Kinda a no frills spot. Also they seem to think peppercini’s are banana peppers. Can get lively in the bar area. Bar staff definitely has a solid group of regulars.
Stopped in for dinner yesterday evening. This was my first visit! Instead of grabbing fast food, overpriced garbage at Navy Pier, we stopped at this cozy place. First of all, the service was lightening fast and attentative. Atmosphere on the outside patio was inviting. My wife and I both ordered lasagna, that included a fresh tossed quality salad and some tasty bread. The lasagna orders were very generous an topped with some great tasting marinera. I may add at a reasonable price. We both enjoyed our visit I also have enough left for today's lunch.
The thin crust here is AMAZING… we started using them for catering at work and it’s always been great. The Buffalo wings here are really good too. Definitely recommend. Probably the best pizza near downtown in Chicago.
The best pizza I had in Chicago and maybe ever. The great pizza coupled with friendly and attentive service made for a great evening. I highly recommend Salerno's to anyone who is in Chicago and wants to try great pizza. They have thin or thick crust and the sizes work for individuals or big groups. Personally I got a 10" thigh crust for just myself and it was far too much!
