The Bagel Restaurant & Deli - Chicago - Photo album

I have been coming here for years but have not been back in a while. We recently went there the past couple Saturdays and had an excellent lunch. It is an old-school Delicatessen with all the great options including a tray of pickles on the table, bread and bagel chips. The food is great, the servic
I tried the Barb’s Bonanza sandwich with corned beef and chopped liver, and it was incredibly flavorful. Their potato pancake was equally fantastic. The Deli has such a charming and cozy atmosphere and is the perfect choice for visit on a cold, rainy, or snowy day.
The best pastrami Reuben I've had in decades! And Kreplach! A WARRIOR'S soup! My friend enjoyed the lox. Everything was delicious! The waiter was very attentive and would not let me eat when the wrong sandwich was brought out, until it had been corrected. The french fries are amazing! I need to keep
Excellent traditional Jewish deli. Homemade chopped liver of the best quality. Beet soup (Borscht) in season. Great service and friendly staff. Also try the Matzo Ball soup!!!
At first I did not like this place but it has grown me and now I love the matzoh soup with a half sandwich of the tuna salad. I also like the mash mash soup, the burgers are pretty good. I like the pickles and challah that is served before the meal comes in. Everyone here feels like friends and fami
Pastrami sandwich and a potato pancake! Love the vibe here, classic diner/deli style. The quantity of the meat filling and in general is a lot. Good place to get a quick and heavy brunch or lunch.
This place is one of the fewer restaurants that have parking available for free while you are eating at their restaurant. Excellent choices and variety. Hamburgers, Borscht, brisket, and gravy. Fair prices.
Love, Love, Love, the Bagel!!! Its been quite awhile, many years actually, since I've been here. I'm so glad it survived Covid and hasn't changed. I'm still glad they serve up a bread basket and dill pickles, and I had, had, had, to have the Matzo Ball Soup, still delicious as I remembered. Can they
Have eaten here a couple of times and see why it is such a favorite place. Generous portions, pleasant staff, large menu, cozy atmosphere, what more could you ask?
Very large menu with lots of delicious options! Highly recommend for a fast and affordable meal that is also great quality. We'll definitely be back!
I get a sausage and cheese omelet everywhere I go. No one to date has topped a place back home in MN called Fat Nats Eggs. I can officially say The Bagel is now competing with Fat Nats. Well-balanced omelet with good proportions of sausage and cheese. I finished my hash-browns the same time as my o
Decades in this location, new owner hasn't changed much, still the same great place. Breakfast all day. Big sandwiches. Amazing soup.
