Mago a suburban restaurant now with a second location invading our happening Chicago. A delicious south of the border experience flavorful and creative.Fresh high quality ingredients presented beautifully. No kidding,without fail,drink their water.It is served in a unique bottle and is absolutely wonderful.A contemporary comfortable hip interior.Service professional and friendly.Plenty of parking and it’s free.Pricing expensive but well worth it for the quality.This is a good destination restaurant and well worth going out of your way. Yes I will be back. AWARDED 2 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3 A BEAUTIFUL ADDITION TO THE SOUTH LOOP CLOSED. IT WILL BE MISSED BIG TIME..

Happened in by chance and the live quartet with a velvety trumpeter and rich vocals (on Thursdays) compelled me to plop down for an early dinner. Everything from the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa to the pulpit to chorizo (octopus and sausage) taco was not only deeeelicious but beautiful. I will be back! Also, super friendly and attentive service. The pic I posted doesn't really do it justice ..

Can't really say much about this place, ended up here by accident on a Monday afternoon, they have $6 margaritas on Mondays (Win)... The place looks cool, it's a upscale Mexican place. I just sat at the bar, had several margaritas and chips, the drinks where super good!. Could totally go back on a Monday just for the margaritas. Had no food so can't review about it but I can say the menu is maybe a bit pricey.

Overall I would rate this a decent experience. We arrived without reservations and were told it would be a 40 minute wait. Problem was we saw a number of empty tables. Drinks at the bar were well done. By the time we got our drinks, our table was ready. The guacamole made at the table was delicious. Our service was decent, though the rhythm of our server was thrown off a bit as she was training a new person. The Pistachio mole was really well done. I had it with the pork medallions, subtle flavors done well. I will return. The only serious draw back is the ambiance of the place itself, the noise was a bit much. Hopefully they install some sound absorbing baffles or art work, maybe it will take the edge off.
