Love love their food, there cheese fries are the bomb,there Italian beef is to die for .... been coming here for years , never disappointed, the staff & manager are very nice & funny ... always a great time when I go with the family to eat there ...
Tried this local place recently and love their burger. Felt huge and had a reverse order of how it was placed in instead of toppings on top it was on bottom. Will come me back to this when I go back to Chicago.

First time there. Met a friend there. Great hotdogs. Lots of other nice things on the menu as well. Some of Chicago’s “Finest” were there too. Several tac units along with some uniform patrol officers. Two large HD televisions with two different games on. Good neighborhood and friendly patrons 😊
Best Hot dogs you'll ever eat and best fries you'll ever have. One of the best staff you'll ever talk to. I definitely do recommend for anyone to go there.

Great food!!!!! We were on a weenie tour. My wonderful husband and my two nephews. Wolfy's had to be on the route. Couldn't miss it. Very friendly staff also.
The everything dog was a unique adventure! Something you have to try on the adventure of Chicagoland food. It had a lot going on. Wolff’s is a classic dive place with great food
Wolfy's Chicago style hot gog was good here. The fries were delicious and their cheesy sauce was great to dip both fries and dogs into 👍 👌

In our tasting, the Chicago dog, polish sausage, gyro and french fries were all excellent. The serving of Italian beef was a heaping helping. Ordered dipped, with "sweet peppers" instead of "hot peppers", it was served with about a quarter of a good-sized green bell, in two sections. The beef was a tad on the dry side, and not very flavorful. Burger was also a bit disappointing. That said, service was friendly and top notch, they have cool t-shirts for only $15, and their sign is iconic.
This place is a classic dog joint in the vain of other places just like it. Ironically actual dogs are not allowed in here.
In order to control the massive crowds, you never enter from the same door you leave by.
I was quite satisfied with my food, and the vintage interior which may not have been updated much from the '70s.

I was finally able to visit Wolfy's and wasn't disappointed! Love the classic sign in front of the place. Had a jumbo char dog. It was definitely one of the best Chicago dogs I've ever had.
Char dogs!! Perfectly steamed, then grilled on charcoal. Wonderful and uncommon, and just a few steps above the average steamed Chicago dog. Fries are served perfectly crisp and too hot to touch at first, all condiments are fresh and the staff is nice and helpful. Clean, well-lit fast food seating, good parking. A must see!
Wolfy's is a Chicago institution. They have all the classics including hamburgers, Italian beef, and my personal favorite, the jumbo char Chicago hot dog. I used to live right around the corner and would stop in regularly. I moved to the east coast 14 years ago, and stopped in when I came back to town recently. It is just as good now as it was back then! Friendly staff, and great atmosphere and decor (check out the classic artwork on the walls redone in Chicago style). You should know that this joint is CASH ONLY, but it will be worth it, trust me.
I ate here for the first time today. Loved it! We got a double cheeseburger, italian beef, fries and a drink. The sandwiches were huge, and more than reasonably priced. I live three or four miles further south, and all of the restaurants in my neighborhood cost twice as much. The atmosphere and the staff were super friendly, the food was delicious. Zero complaints, I will definitely be back!

Totally exceeded my expectations. I figured the food would be typical, good but not amazing, I was wrong. Gyro, burgers, hot dogs, and cheese fries were hot, fast, and delicious. Crew was very friendly and dining area was clean. Highly recommend and will visit again.
Stopped in for the first time. Ordered a Chicago dog, fries and a drink. Waited for maybe 1 minute before food was ready. The guys at the counter were nice, the price was reasonable, the wait was very short, and the food was good.
The hot dog was prepared correctly and was quality. Not the best I've ever had but definitely the upper tier of dogs. What really surprised me though were the fries. Some of the best fries I've ever had. Perfectly fried and salted. Just the right amount of crunch, not soggy at all. Seriously I would go back just to get the fries. 10/10 on the fries, boys.

It has alway been a pleasure to eat at this spot. The quality has alway been consistent.
It is an institution that has been at the same spot with the same signage for decades. Many of us remember hanging out there as teenagers after school. Glad to see this place still making delicious cheese burger and hot dogs among other things. It’s good to have something so constant that we can always return to reminisce the past.
If you looked up “Chicago Beef and Dog Joint” in the dictionary you’d find an entry for Wolfy’s. The grill sizzles as the staff expertly slings char dogs, burgers, shrimp baskets and gyros. It’s a small place but there is a decent amount of seating and even parking. If you’re jonesing for a Chicago dog, stop into Wolfy’s. You’ll leave satisfied.
Very good food and service. Cheeseburger and fries were excellent. I’ll definitely be going back soon.
