Best tacos with affordable prices. I really love their traditional tacos with al pastor. Al pastor has very deep flavor which is I like, it is basically marinated pork in a combination of dried chilies, spices, and pineapples. I also try Cowboy Tacos, which contains lime grilled steak with corn and guacamole. The guacamole is da bomb!! Will come back soon...
P.S : I was so excited to try Al Pastor and Cowboy Taco I even forgot to took some pictures of them. lol

I must have been missing my home in Texas as I have been on the hunt for great Mexican food on this visit to Chicago. I had tried one place earlier in the year, on Cinco de Mayo of all days, and was just so disappointed that it made me question if the Texas/Mexican food was just that unique that I would have to wait until I was home to enjoy all my favorites. Im happy to report that no that is not the case. Flaco's Tacos is a great option and wonderful pricing to boot. Very friendly service and truly delicious margaritas ensured that I will be returning to sample more form their extensive menu on future trips.
Great food and great service! Excellent value for your money.. Excellent food, yummy drinks and helpful service. Everything was wonderful! Great Mexican food for a reasonable price.
Chicken tacos and guac and chips were devine!!! Worth the walk!
We ordered veg taco, burrito, mexican sandwich. Everything was delicious.. Must eat food there..
We had guacamole and chips a couple of fish tacos, beef tacos and chicken tacos. The guacamole was excellent; fresh and tasty and the chips were warm and just made. We didn't like the fish tacos but the chicken and beef tacos were good. The beef tacos were the best. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a filling, cheap and yummy meal.
Great authentic Mexican food! Simple menu with tacos, tamales, burritos, Mexican sandwiches, and quesadillas. Love it!
Very authentic Mexican feel! Food was very good and not to pricey. Would recommend for lunch based on the atmosphere.
Welcome to the Gold Coast!!. Ordered Arrachera Taco & Torta. The tacos' corn tortillas and chihuahua cheese were of the highest quality. The fresh-baked Mexican roll was tasty. Will be back for more, soon.
Flaco's is definitely one of the better tex-mex style mexican restaurants in the city. Outside of Pilsen, I tend to avoid "Mexican restaurants" but Flaco's is actually pretty good. Not only do they have fast delivery, their food seems to be more authentic and also their daily specials are something to look forward to. As you will see from the food that is featured below, the quesadillas are something special.
Let's talk tacos. They're freaking delicious. They're the perfect storm of meat, tortilla, and condiment
This place had really great food! We had just stopped by for a quick dinner and ended up getting the happy hour margarita flight for only $6. They have great sauces too :) prices are good and food is good, what more can you ask for?!
Order at the counter and receive a # for your order. Good prices, and authentic Mexican food. The space has about 6 tables and counter space to eat. There might have been more tables past the cashier, but we didn't go that far. There's daily specials on a chalkboard in addition to the one page menu. It looked like there were a lot of regulars around us. I had a tamale and a soft taco. He got a burrito with a side of rice and beans. Everything was served in those plastic cafeteria baskets. The beans were served in a styrofoam container. Our food was pretty good, the waitstaff was friendly, and very helpful answering questions about the menu. The only thing that I might suggest is maybe serving some items on plates. Maybe they did, just not with the items we ordered.
Great service. Food is above average but just that. Lots of meat to cheese which is great, but I'll keep searching for that great taco place. Queso was good.

Short version:
Their tacos are amazing. You should go here.
Longer version:
You walk in to a moderately spacious area, I dig the vibe, nothing too noteworthy, but it still tickles me the right way.
The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. I had the cowboy taco, the sweet corn chicken taco and the Barbacoa taco.. the sweet corn chicken taco was by far the best one. Would I come back? Yes, yes I would.
I found this place as i was trying to escape the rain. I had some steak tacos which were pretty large in size but had a lot of really good flavor. I added some habanero hot sauce on the tacos which definitely took them to the next level.
They have Caesar Wrap, which I tried it and tasted really good. Affordable price as well
Just moved here from Atlanta so I will be coming here often. Really great and authentic Mexican food. I had 3 barbacoa tacos. They were generous in portion size and tastes great. I sat in the window and watched people stroll by. They have great service. Love the Jamaica!
There are many Mexican and Taco joints in Chicago land, most of the chains are just mediocre, some are too fancy. If you want Mexican food the way it is meant to be tasted this is the place to be. Nothing fancy, it is just simple fresh ingredients with perfect flavors. The key to good Mexican cooking is the balance of the flavors and texture, too much of one thing will ruin the dish. This place does it perfectly. My go to has always been the barbacoa, you can definitely tell the time that was put into it. My second favorite is the quesadilla, it is not the normal flat slap of tortilla with a bit of cheese and meat, the quesadilla here is almost like pizza slice and they don't hold back on the cheese nor the meat. Everything are at very reasonable prices.
It is a small place, cozy and there are good drinks and frozen margaritas, make sure you try the Horchata as well when you stop by.
Tacos: 5 stars. Queso: 1 star. My steak tacos were amazing. Big juicy steak. The queso tasted like canned nacho cheese. The chips were very good so I ate those plain.
Absolutely delicious Mexican food. Huge tacos, tasty tamales, bangin burritos, and amazing horchata alongside margs and everything else you can expect from a top-tier taco spot. I always get different tacos when I come here and haven't been disappointed yet.
VEGAN TACOS!!! I just had the most sensual experience with vegan food in my whole life. The fish taco was delicious too. Cute place. Cheap tacos and fast service! It got really busy right as I was finishing and I totally understand why!

Ok, now that you’re back, you’ll know and trust when I say something is GOOD, it’s good!
Today was my first time experiencing these wonderfully delicious tacos! Pass the place almost daily and never stopped by.
The shrimp tacos were so filling and flavorful! Even my canned Diet Coke was delicious 🤤
One of my best girlfriends recommended this place and I’m so glad we got to chill outside for lunch and talk on a gorgeous day.
I’ll be back!
I will 100% recommend this place. I’m Mexican and can tell you that the taste of their tacos was the most authentic I have tried so far in the States. Their margaritas are just perfect! I’ll come back next time I’m in Chicago 🙌
Great food with more of a "low key" vibe. I had a delicious chicken burrito along with a side of chips and queso. The portion sizes are great for the price. I'm not a Margarita drinker but if I was I would have gotten one here because they looked pretty good.
Great shrimp and steak tacos -- not a huge fan of the fish tacos personally as I'm used to more heavily spiced ones. Horchata's lovely. Portions and prices are great and the people are plenty nice.
Nice option for tacos, burritos, tamales and quesadillas. They have a lot of beverages too.
Specially you’ll get beers and Margaritas and homemade Sangria too.
We ordered Al Pastor Tacos and Ancho Chicken tacos served with Salsa. Also ordered some beers. Food was good but the service was slow. Almost waited for 20 mins to get couple of tacos.
