The Blanchard - Chicago - Photo album

A true hidden gem. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. First, we arrived without reservations during restaurant week. They seated us right away anyway. We even got to sit at the chefs table! We ordered our choices for each course up front. Our server, Kamma, timed every course per
One of my favorite French restaurants in Chicago. Excellent service and food. Top notch
WOW the FOOD was AMAZING! I had the scallop for an appetizer - TO DIE FOR! I could have had 2 more as my meal! The next time I go I just might! My husband had the Petite Veggies for his appetizer. Very nice and flavorful. The He had the King Crab and I had the Lamb and Belly entrees. I mean,
Food is incredible. We had some odd problems with service,... I'm hoping it was our waiter's first day or something? We ended up having a bunch of different people come to our table and none of them communicated with each other so it was a lot of 'double deliveries' and many mix ups, but everyon
Food was imaginative, creative and delicious. I've never had fish so hot, I couldn't eat it right away. Decor is really nice as well, not sitting on top of people around you which is nice. Can't wait to sit outside this summer!
Took my fiance here for her birthday and we both found the experience to be exceptional. Located off the beaten path, The Blanchard offers delicious food, tasty cocktails, superior service and a comfortable, yet upscale, atmosphere. Priced right for the quality of food. My favorite dish was the F
One of the best dining experiences in Chicago. The place is super lovely: It is contemporary, but at the same time has a warm and friendly feel. We were lucky to get a place at the Chef's table, so we could see how the magic is created. Jason Paskewitz (The Chef) is a super nice guy. Despite pl
Food is indeed delicious, refined cuisine, well served, good choice of French wines and price is reasonable. Nice service and kind waiters who really take care of you. However is too noisy, if you are looking for a quiet and romantic address take the tables near the entrance or walk away. I changed
The service and food are amazing, ambiance was so so the Saturday I visited - primarily noisy groups of middle aged people (we were expecting a slightly more romantic bistro vibe.) That said, the bordelaise sauce is the best I've had, apparently they reduce it over a couple days which explains how
The food is amazing! The cocktails are great too. Be prepared to wait for your reservation but it's totally worth it. The escargot is one of the best I've ever had.
This place is phenomenal. We have been here several times now and it is great every time. Seared foie gras and duck breast are always on point, and you have to try the cream of mushroom soup if it is the season! Not sure how they still do not have a Michelin star.
Living a day's cycle ride from Paris, it seems odd that I'd travel 4000 miles to choose French Cuisine. But, I'm pleased to note that The Blanchard makes the trip worth while. I first came here to sample (then) executive chef Jason Paskewitz's amazing sous-vide creations, and had thought the menu un
The care with which this establishment approaches food is exemplary. The attention to detail, from the ingredients to the in-house preparations, from the wine list to the carefully selected by-the-glass offerings: everything gets done with attention that reveals passion, with focus that conveys zeal
Spectacular all around. Great waiter, delicious food... best Coq Au Vin I have ever had. Not a cheap evening but a memorable one indeed. We will be back.
Great restaurant week menu. Delicious. Will be back.
First time having brunch here. Amazing food and staff. And surprisingly large portion sizes. Had the lobster club and the croque monsieur. We will be back!
