Well worth the drive to get there.

The pasta is delicious, the service is impeccable. When you’re dining there you notice the regulars are treated like family.

The food is delicious. The service was amazing. I used to come here with my grandparents so it holds great memories.

There used to be many quality independent Italian restaurants to choose from, now it is so much more difficult. Luckily Agostinos survives.
This place is the real deal, a little old school, but in a really good way. Great traditional Italian dishes, friendly professional service, reasonably priced for the high quality. We had a couple of the specials and they were excellent. The soup was good and the portions were large.
The place is bigger inside than you think with a small banquet room (50 people?) and bar opposite the dining room.
Passed the kitchen and it was very clean and organized.
I can't really boast of the decor and atmosphere. I would call it functionally pleasant. It can get loud, even when not full of people.
I called for a Saturday night reservation, but wouldn’t have needed one on that night.
They have parking.
Highly recommended.

Octopus appetizer was perfect. Chicken limone was chicken. It really needed to have a pasta or similar. I did get a pasta to go with it (extra cost) and the server suggested half order which was perfect. Otherwise it would have just been a slab of chicken (tasty) on a plate

We always have an excellent dinner here! I love that they are family owned and operated. The fish dishes are fresh and delicious. The pastas as always cooked and dressed perfectly. Agostino’s isn’t fancy or fussy. Just great food and excellent service. Love it!

~Excellent food. From the warm rustic bread to the minestrone soup to the Red Snapper special, the flavors were all great. Both pasts were extremely good tasting as well.
~Atmosphere. The large dining room has extremely white lights (like you’d have in an office). A softer light would be better
~Parking. Difficult. Their parking lot is very tight. I recommend parking on Harlem Avenue
~Attire. Very casual.
~Bottom Line: Really great food in a relaxed environment

Newly reopened absolutely amazing authentic Italian restaurant! Food is to die for, from the appetizer to the desert, exquisite. Service is top notch quality just a little slow due to short staffed as is everywhere. Highly recommend!!

I have been coming here for over 31 years. I live near Joliet and it is well worth the hour+ drive. Also, the same waiter for the whole 31 years except when he is on vacation. The best Italian restaurant in Chicago and I have been to a lot of them!

Excellent food and great service. Bonus if you like seafood. I would consider this an old school Italian eatery with a specialty in seafood, hence the seahorse on the sign. My husband was in heaven. I actually hate seafood, but still enjoyed everything I ordered.
