Jibek Jolu Chicago - Chicago - Photo album

We are hosting an exchange student from Kazakhstan and, after four months in the US, she was missing her dishes from home. So on our trip to Chicago, we wanted to find a place that served Central Asian cuisine. I'm excited to say that the whole experience was outstanding. She had the Manty, and my
It is a great spot for something special. We came here for lunch - not everyday you get to eat Kyrgyz food! This is a large restaurant in The Glen, with great outdoor space. It is run by Central Asians, so it is worth asking for recommendations from the menu. We had the mixed meal platter and the du
Wow. Truly an incredible immersive experience in a cuisine and culture I have never been exposed to. The ambiance and food were top notch along with the service. It’s worth the trip, while the flavors are not unfamiliar, they are uniquely paired.
We'd never had food from Kyrgyzstan before, so we were excited to try it out. And we're all happy that we did. Everything was really good! Because there were five of us, we were able to order and try a lot of different things, and all of us liked every dish. The restaurant is decorated nicely and I
For the most part the food here was outrageously delicious. We never tried central Asian cuisine before so we ordered quite a bit! Some things were a bit undersalted but seasoning in general was fantastic. The Plov was underwhelming but the Chicken Tabaka and lamb chops were amazing. Get a side of r
It's my first time trying kryzgyz food and I loved the plov and the shashlik. The quality of the meat was too good. Also, try the honey cake in dessert. It really tastes awesome. The staff were also really nice and had interest in explaining to you the cuisine
Excellent food. First time our entire family has finished a dinner together because we're all picky. All of us loved it. It's a little hard to find. The location we went to doesn't have a sign outside. You just have to know it's there.
A friend of mine recommend Jibek Jolu to me. My friend and went! I forgot to make reservations, luckily we got a table! The food was amazing! Everything we had tasted soo fresh! The service/ waiting were great very friendly and helped guide us. The ambiance was great really seemed authentic! I highl
We’ve been there with family, and enjoyed our meals together! Lovely service, nice music, great food!!! We would love to come back💝🤗😊
This is the Best Asain food I've ever tasted. I prefer I suggest you must try the lamb plov, it is the most unique and tastes perfect. And hot tea, this is so good! As a chinese, I said that I have never had such a good tea, probably because of the honey in it, which is very good at helping digestio
Loved the Honey Cake the best. We even got a second slice to share. Food and service was good! Still craving for another slice of cake 🤤.
Great place for authentic Kyrgyz, Uzbek, and Russian food. Our group tried the lagman, manty, samsa, plov with beef, pelmeni, and chebureki and would recommend all of the above. My only critique is that it is a pricey option, five manty for $20 is steep. However, worth a visit, especially if you’ve
Always fresh and extremely full of flavor dishes. The hand pulled noodles are so fun to eat. The texture is so silky with a great bite. Sauces are delicious. Everything there is delicious in a very nice atmosphere.
Highly recommend their kuurdak lamb. Get a side of noodle with the kuurdak! Start with the tasty samsy beef and you're all set! Definitely would come back to try other items in the menu.
I will 100% be coming back here. I got the Boso Lagman noodles and MY GOD, it was delicious. Ask the server for extra hot sauce and vinegar, it is an excellent addition to the dish. The hand pulled noodles were amazing and the beef in the dish was so flavorful. Love the aesthetic and decor of the re
🧡Chicken Samsy: OMG this was my absolute favorite of the night! The handmade baked pastry was so crispy and filled with a juicy meat and onion filling! It kind of reminds me of Vietnamese pate chaud. I wanted to eat 10 of these 😂 🧡Manty & Oromo: Manty was the fried dumplings with a similar filling
We really enjoyed this! Tried 4 separate dishes (only got pics of 3) & can't wait to go back! The dumplings in white cream sauce were amazing.
Had an epic meal here recently. Had no idea what to expect, but wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. Our group had the party plate and it was plenty of food for 5 people. Definitely will return to this charming little place.
