This is a great spot for Persian food, tucked in a cozy underground space with a warm and friendly atmosphere and service.
During our visit, we tried out the Persian Tray. The appetizer sampler truly stood out - the hummus was superb, and the Kashk Bademjan was equally amazing. The lentil soup was hearty and fulfilling. Moving on to the main course, the Persian Tray was somewhat mild in flavor, though the lamb shank was incredibly tender, and the portions were generally sized for two. To cap off the meal, the honey ice cream was a rich and delightful treat. Overall, it was a fairly pleasant dining experience.
This place is a hidden gem! I rarely venture out to north side since there are plenty of restaurants in downtown and westloop, but I would definitely make a trip to the north side for this place. It’s very cozy and welcoming. The food was fantastic all around and the service is superb👍 I asked the server to pick a chicken dish and the chicken tenderloin was delicious! Highly recommend this hidden gem and can’t wait to go back to try more items on the menu🤗
Lovely experience! The ambiance, the server, sitting under the sunroof windows, and the food!!! Omg delicious! We got two servings of the red sangria cause it was so good!!!
Loved the dish I ordered, a lamb drumstick deliciously soft and with a tasty sauce!
This is truly one of the best restaurants in Chicago. I’ve never had Persian food, and I loved the whole experience!
My book club met here for dinner and we ordered a few plates to share. We started with lentil soup, salad, and the appetizer sampler. For our entrees, we had the Persian tray (chicken and lamb) and salmon & shrimp tray and finished with the ice cream.
Not only was the food delicious but the hospitality was incredible - the owner Max came over to our table and shared his story with us. Everyone was so kind, they even gave us each roses and a bottle of wine for the table! We will absolutely be back and I will be recommending Pars Cove to everyone I know :)
Went there for the 1st time today and everything was so good! One of those neighborhood spots that you have to go to, they’ve been open since 1976. Food and service were great throughout the entire meal! We’ll be back for the chicken and shrimp kebabs.
I had a really wonderful experience in this gem of a restaurant!
Delicious food and very sweet owner who gave me and my table roses after the meal ☺️
Highly recommend trying this place out!!
Oh and the bread and hummus are amazing
I love fesenjen and they no longer have any where I stay. On my trip to Chicago, I planned to visit here to have some. I was surprised at how cute and cozy this restaurant is. Such character and ambiance. The wait staff was friendly and I think the owner or manager was there. He was so sweet to bring us hummus on the house for us. It was delicious. My daughter who is extremely picky said it was her favorite. The portions are pretty big and the food was very good. I wish the fesenjen sauce was a little more tart though. Overall I would recommend this place if you want delicious Persian food. Kudos to the owner for giving my daughter and I each a rose. Wasn’t necessary but it felt personal and with genuine hospitality.
What a lovely restaurant! Can't wait to return!
My highlights: grape leaves, cabernet sauvignon, great service, and the ice cream.
Such a lovely place! Food was amazing and for a great price. Service was excellent. We met the owner who treated us with several drinks and roses.
Visiting downtown from the burbs. We were looking for a place to accommodate our group of six on a Saturday night. After reading the reviews, I called Pars Cove. They said they could seat us within 20 minutes. The dining experience from beginning to end was amazing! They were so welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding. The owner takes such pride in his restaurant. We had a wonderful evening and meal. Amazing time! We will be back!
