Amazing hidden gem for sushi & drinks 😁 the environment has very nice relaxed atmosphere great for a casual date but can be elevated if you visit at night. There are so many options I have yet to try! Everything is prepared with beautiful presentation and tastes fantastic. The art on the walls will d
I don’t know how long Indie has been around but I’ve been going since 2001. The food is always spectacular and delicious! Tonight I asked who owned the restaurant. They pointed to a lady sitting in the back of the restaurant. I had no clue. In all my years, she has never visited my table to ask how
This made for a good date night spot. We split the Chicken Gyozas which came in a dish perfect for two. We also ordered the Mexico City and Chicago Crazy rolls. Delicious but keep in mind they are kind of big rolls. 🍣 🥟 🍶
I went to Indie again to celebrate my birthday 🎂 with my friends. The quality of food and the cocktails are amazing 👏 The waitress is very attentive. We had the best experience ever.
How have I not left a review for this place?! Indie is our go to Thai spot and has been for years. In fact when I went into labor, I ordered their Crab Rangoon as my final baby-free meal. 🤣 their food is fresh, it’s flavorful and reasonably priced. I love their curries, their pad see-ew, drunken noo
I love this place! The quality of the food and the reasonable price brings me back again and again. I had the salmon with garlic fried rice and asparagus, look at the presentation!!
The staff and food were excellent! Some of the best sushi around Chicago. I recommend the almond monkey roll. The only reason for the three stars regarding the atmosphere was because it felt a little crowded navigating around the sushi bar in the center of the restaurant to get to my table, and t
If you're looking for a slightly upscale sushi bar in Edgewater, you can officially stop looking. Indie is a great restaurant with excellent food, and plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. I would highly recommend people to visit Indie. And it's important to note that even if you don't like sushi, th
I absolutely love this place. The service is always wonderful, the food is unparalleled, and the atmosphere can be casual, romantic, and bright. It has the best sushi around and going here always lifts my spirits - it’s why I’ve come here for my last two birthdays!
We're a Thai family living outside-Thailand and on a vacation in Chicago for two weeks. As we were dying for Pad Thai and Pad See eew, our usual comfort foods while on the go, Indie Cafe in Edgewater did not disappoint us. An easy hang-out in the neigborhood, the unpretentious atmosphere with local
Indie Cafe on Broadway is a neighborhood jewel. Not only is the food delicious the prices are great. We had a noodle bowl with rice noodles which was tasty and filled with veggies and shrimp. The California rolls were also delicious.
Indie cafe is the best Asian food at Broadway street. Great food, drinks and good service. No complains related to taste, quality, quantity of the food, It was really yummy! Variety of dishes, fresh ingredients. Both Sushi and Thai food so fantastic Good sized portions but not overdone. They also ha
Good for the price. I got the poke bowl (B+) and crab rangoons (A). If you live in Edgewater you should check out Indie Bar. Would love to come back and try the Thai.
Indie is one of my favorite Asian Restaurants. Great food at reasonable prices. The staff especially Mia are wonderful. Try Indie once and you will become a regular. Enjoy.
Service was excellent, and atmosphere is nice, with beautifully weird art on the wall. The food was just so-so. I had veggie gyoza, and they were ice cold in the middle when they were served. The veggie ramen was also not very hot, and just average.
Get delivery all the time. It’s great food! The crab Rangoons are small but they are my favorite,
This is one of the best restaurants in Edgewater. I’ve literally eaten here 100 times since they opened years ago. Not one time was a disappointment. Friendly service, delicious food, beautiful plating, this is our go-to Thai/Japanese spot, gem for everyone.
Honestly this might be my fav Thai in Chicago. The massaman curry is sooo good. I feel like Indie uses more coconut milk than most places? Tonight I tried the sushi for the first time and the seared salmon did not disappoint. All the ingredients seem a notch above. I’ve only ever taken out, never di
