Came here for an early Saturday breakfast. The staff was quick and friendly, everything tasted amazing, and they worked around dietary restrictions extremely well.
On first walking in and checking the menu I was a little worried it would be standard diner fare. Once the dishes came out I was happily proven wrong. The service was excellent and our food was great. The staff was friendly and chatted with us about a few things while we enjoyed our meal. The crepes are great, a little sturdier than usual in a very good way. Would recommend!
One of our favorite breakfast stops! Regular menu is great, but the seasonal specials are spectacular! Great ambiance, great staff, reasonable prices.
Everything was well made and rich in flavors! Loved the food and the service
Went here for brunch on a Saturday and loved it! My wife and I had the french toast flight (which was three different melt-in-you mouth variations of fruity and sweet french toasts) and a scramble, which was flavorful, filling, and had fresh veggies in it. Even their coffee is good! (Metropolis beans always help) A tad expensive (~$15 per entree), but given the location and quality of food, that's expected. Oh, and it's BYOB, so we'll bring champagne and OJ next time.
This place is awesome! If all the other locations are as good, this will be my go to brunch chain. I had the Paris Benedict, which was topped with melted gruyere cheese, bacon and grilled asparagus. The sauce was delicious and the whole thing was to die for! I wish the potatoes were crispier but it just left more room for my appetite to order the sweet sampler. The mango coconut hotcakes were really good, with a bit of a different consistency than I'm used to, but change in this case was good! The stuffed French toast was delicious as well. The only thing that sucks about this place was our server-- the host was courteous and friendly but our server stopped in the middle of taking our order to take another table's order then just was never around. We sat there with a cleared table for a while before he brought our check, which we had to request for too. So strange. But the food is definitely worth going back for more!
Amazing diner with huge portions. I have never once been able to finish an omelette from there. Bringing it home yields another 2 meals.
They offer a flight of sweet breakfast foods, French toast, pancakes, etc. It's amazing for sharing. Full espresso beverages available
I've been going here for 3 years, this is my favorite restaurant in Lakeview. The staff are friendly, the food is great and well priced, and my husband and I never have a problem getting a table. The crepes are delicious, the bacon is crisp, and the coffee is never too bitter. I even had a wedding planning session there with the bridal party. Nookies gave us a lot of space to work and plan in the back. We were never rushed and they even turned down the background music so we could hear each other better. This is one of the real gems of the neighborhood.
Decor has seen better days but still has a nice retro vibe. Service is fantastic. Food is better. Their crab cakes are absolute delish. Coffee perfectly warm and tasty mild blend. Come here when you want brunch. That's what we did and we will keep coming back.
Great place with some truly awesome food. Everything from burgers to pancakes to omelettes is hard to beat.
Service was fine, although it did take a really long time to get our food (we had a group of 6, but still, the place wasn't packed by any means).
It still throws me how difficult it seems to be for establishments to split bills in this city. I know it's mainly a cultural thing, and our server did offer without us bringing it up initially (which I appreciate), but man, for the time it took to split up our bill you'd think the employees had to re-write code on the software for their registers or something.
I'm a Michigan boy, so it boggles the mind...
That being said, the food was so good I'd happily struggle through it again just for another taste. Good stuff!
