Bittersweet Pastry Shop & Cafe

We ordered a two-tier cake for our daughter's baby shower. We picked them from the Cake by Design menu since customization was not available because of the season. It was beautifully done, great tasting, and reasonably priced. Picking up the cake was a bit challenging: they are always busy so arm yourself with empathy for the staff. They will get to you eventually. The cake was ready by the hour and date requested.

Come here almost every single Sunday morning to get their croissants and pastries 😭😭😭 I know their custom cakes and pastries are amazing - saw 5 pickups happen just now with smiling faces. Every time I step in I want something else and today ended up getting a latte. LOVE their egg salad and cafe options for brunch. Beautiful little spot ✨

This is the cutest, most quaint bakery I’ve ever been to. Was looking to get a cake for my mom for her 60th birthday and wanted to leave her feeling speechless. This cake did it! It was so beautiful and was absolutely delicious. I wish I lived closer, but will still make the haul more often just to take in the aroma of the bakery itself. Staff is super friendly and super organized! Thank you Bittersweet for making my moms day a special one!

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and two lattes (honey butter and pumpkin spice). The coffee was delish and the latte art is beautiful. The grilled cheese was nothing to write home about, but it tasted nice (a little overpriced to be honest). The best part of Bittersweet is the costumer service. About ten minutes after I started eating, I broke out into itchy hives. (My body has some mysterious allergies, so the hives had nothing to do with cross contamination) When I asked if the workers happened to have allergy meds, they brought me a new bottle of allergy meds! Great experience and adorable cafe!

I had been here before and had delicious pastries each time. well this time i tried their Too good to go boxes and WOW i was so impressed. it was about $6 and picked up near closing time. I got a cinnamon roll, pecan roll and blueberry scone…ALL FRESH. I was so impressed with the sheer value of this box. I would gladly pay full price for their pastries anyway but i just thought it was so cool of them to put so much value into their boxes they sell.

Great french cafe down the street from several theaters. They always have pleasant music on and delicious pastries. Their espresso is the type of espresso that you can feel after drinking it. I love it. Great spot to work, read, or hangout with friends, especially before catching a matinee. Highly recommend a visit.

Located in Lakeview, the bakery is celebrating it’s newly renovated shop and 30 years making beautiful cakes, pastries and decadent desserts. You will also find savory recipes on their menu including the classic Ham, Fig & Gruyere Sandwich, quiche, housemade soups and @metropoliscoffeeco. ⁣ The cafe kitchen is open Tuesday - Sunday, 8am - 2pm. Cafe seating remains open until 4pm, offering coffee and pastries. ⁣

A very good bakery. Outstanding pecan rolls and croissants. I traveled a long distance only to find ,they were out of pecan rolls.Since when do you have to call head for a common bakery item.Minus one star.
