Mi Tocaya Antojeria - Chicago - Photo album

We went there yesterday, and I love the food and atmosphere I especially like the way they cooked salmon, it was fried but still soft inside not too dry. My favorite is the dessert though, really soft and full of creamy taste!!
One of my fav restaurants from my Chicago trip. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Their dishes are packed with flavour and unique ingredients. We tried the aguachile, birria tacos, as snail dish that I don’t remember the name of and the flan. I must also mention how beautiful their plating is. Sl
Great food and a fun restaurant. We really liked the Tacos Arabe de Pollo. Pescado al Mojo de Ajo, Albondigas de Marisco, and Aguachule were also great. Colorful interior for fun date-spot vibes. Was fun to see the cooks cooking right from the dining room. Great drinks, too. Will definitely be back!
We went here for a birthday celebration. Highly recommended and did not disappoint. Bright and cheerful decor. Limited seating. You will need a reservation. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The Mexican small plates were fun to share! Be sure and not miss this gem in Logan Square. Delicious
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food by Chef Diana was delicious and we got some great service from Stephania and Prosper. Tried several cocktails and they were all delish. This place does have a Michelin Bib Gourmand rating and is worth it.
First off, when arriving for the reservation, the host was very kind and warm. They took a drink order as we waited, which I took as a proactive gesture. We ordered: Heirloom Tetela, Costra Taco con Nopalitos, Caderas de Pollo Tatemadas, Setas con Mole Rojo, Flan de Queso and tres leches. Everything
Came to Mi Tocaya for dinner for 2 on 3/9/23. It's family style here and the amazingly knowledgeable and friendly waiter, Jonah, recommended 3-5 dishes to share. We got a few drinks as well. Horchata was deliciously flavorful but a bit gritty for me. Tepache de Piña was extra funky, but we were warn
Yo there is so much flavor packed into these dishes idk where to begin, very cool how there is a personal story from the chef for all the dishes, there are 1-2 vegan options currently on the menu and it’s easily the most delicious vegan dish I’ve ever tried, if you’re a meat eater the steak burrito
Loved our experience at Mi Tocaya. Appreciated the little description and micro stories that accompanied some items. Made me feel closer to the food and it's origins and why it is special to the restaurant. We got: 🔸Heirloom Tetela - triangle shaped masa stuffed with baby lima & leek potaje, ques
This place is INCREDIBLE! If you’re looking for a thoughtful/creative place, this is. First, attention is overwhelming (in a good way!), they make you feel at home, servers know their thing and are knowledgeable about drinks/food composition, and Diana Alvarez, the chef herself, brings some plates a
Really really loved the food here. The seafood albondigas were amazing and the pork shank in mole was eye roll good.
Great food! Menu changes periodically. Get the oyster taco! I’d recommend a reservation but not necessarily required.
Amazing spot for real Mexican food. They recommend family style (big plates everyone shares) and they are not wrong. The dishes are incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection with amazing flavors. The dining room is very quaint. The restaurant is packed so make sure to call ahead to secure a reservat
This pork shank in mole sauce is so delicious and meet so tender you can eat it with the spoon !!!! Highly recommend ! You will love it 😍
Everything here is fabulous. Modern exciting dishes that aren't afraid to play with spice. Great wine list/cocktail program. Fun atmosphere with genuine passion for details. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Mi Tocayo Antojería was a delight. It was a small plates and medium plates sharing style restaurant with elevated Mexican dishes from different regions. Everyone who interacted with us were super kind and knowledgeable about the food. I loved the vibe and energy of the space when I walked in. It ha
An obvious favorite. Clean, inventive, fresh dishes made to share. Staff is inviting and a comfortable atmosphere. Come during the summer for their pitcher margarita 🤟
