George's Hot Dogs

The Owner is Nice and Very Polite but the lady worker is very Arrogant and the way she answered you is like She's the owner 😉 I asked her if she can give me extra sauce for the Gyros and she replied " I didn't heard you say that " with a higher pitch voice 😉 Be Nice and Be Friendly most of the times.

When I first moved to Bucktown, Mary and George took care of me almost nightly. They are such amazing people, and I miss going to George's so much. I was heartbroken to hear of George's passing. He had such a smile. George's is literally what I miss most about Bucktown/Chicago. Not to mention, the foods amazing. George used to make me his version of a double cheeseburger. He'd make it on French bread, with all the fixings. What I'd pay for one now! And their Greek soup, phenomenal. I sincerely hope the family is doing well!

Great hot dog. Full of flavor and no skimping on the toppings. French fries were fresh, crispy and thick. Food took awhile to come out but I assume because it was made to order. The gyro was also good, and they do not hold back on the portion size. Really appreciate this and it’s what keeps me coming back!

Classic mom & pop kind of hot dog stand; with over 70 years of doing business. Service was good, went at about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon, wait time for my order was about 15 minutes, so not too bad as they did seem a bit busy. I got myself the "Philly Steak" which was a little greasy but not overly so. I personally like my philly's with mushrooms, but I did treat myself to an order of their breaded mushrooms, well as an order of mozzarella sticks. So all is good, was enough for my late lunch and most of my dinner as well. Tasty 😋. They do have a small out door patio which was pretty full when I got there. Mask are currently required, I read that it was a cash only business so I made sure to have some cash with me.
