Excellent Italian cuisine is available at Barnelli's Pasta Bowl in a quick-service setting. The restaurant's interior is distinctly "Chicago," with artifacts and relics from the city's past. Due to the fact that the restaurant and Portillo's share a building, their menu is extensive. The chicken parmesan sandwich was delicious. Expect a crowd if you go for lunch because this is a well-liked local lunch spot.

I had a chicken pasta in white sauce and my friend had a pizza. Both were incredibly tasty. The ingredients in the pasta were so fresh! So delicious... and the atmosphere is nice, something like a market place with a lot of cool items on display. Also great value for money. Highly recommended.
