Green Mill - Chicago - Photo album

I’ve lived in Chicago for 12 years and I just went here for the first time. It was amazing. Get there early for seating. They don’t serve food but they allow you to order in. Easy street parking.
Historic, iconic, fun! If the walls could talk. It’s a step back in time to visit the Green Mill. The live music is fabulous. The dance floor small and packed. Get there early if you want a seat. Cover charge Thursday night. Drinks not great. Glad to have had this experience! Highly recommend!
Outstanding venue. I was only in Chicago for 3 days but I did my research and knew as a live music lover I had to check it out. The vibe was exactly what I expected. I had a barstool next to where one of the servers was getting drinks from the bartender and we became buds (thanks, Sarah!). I told he
INCREDIBLE VENUE. Musicians on Sunday night were absolutely incredible. The entire place is a blast from the past. Bar staff not rude, but just busy. Cash-only but they do have an ATM. My suggestion, go on a Sunday when they put the musicians behind the bar instead of the regular stage.
It’s been said that Al Capone spent more time in this bar than even his own place. I can’t speak for the entertainment featured back then, but the big band orchestra that performed the night my wife and I were there had us dancing until the midnight hour. The bartender took very good care of us and
We loved the music, atmosphere and Caroline who was our waitress was superb. It could have been a perfect evening out if it wasn’t for a bartender by the name of Jason Cole. We had friends from overseas and he was so very rude and unpleasant to them on two separate occasions. We would love to go bac
Green Mill was my first Jazz club experience and I will definitely be back! $15 cover and drinks are about $10 each which isn’t bad! Music was great but it was a bit crowded (it was Friday night). They made me the best amaretto sour!
Our server was a little bit too grabby on the drinks. My son and I had old-fashions which really did not taste. Good at all. Poorly made, or poor whiskey. Our server kept trying to take her drinks when we weren't finished lol. Nice try honey..... The ambiance was good. And the music was exceptional.
Unbelievable!! A throw back into another era. My favorite jazz venue in the world!! The lighting is amazing.
The place is very small because you need to do a row and wait, when there's a show they charge 15 bucks at the time of entering and then quickly search for chairs because there's no ha ha and enjoy the show the drinks are normal nothing woah and the bathroom is in the back. Pd: Don’t forget your Id.
Lovely venue, beautifully decorated, great performers. Unfortunately, the male staff behind the bar was quite rude but the female table staff went above and beyond. No food here.
If you love Jazz this is the place to be. Just make sure you don't go there when you're hungry because they don't serve food. Plus it's cash only!
This place is cash only (cover, drinks, etc) There's an automatic $20 CASH cover. If you get in early and get seats, you're lucky. If you come later, you end up paying $20 to stand there. Otherwise, it's a great place for jazz! I wouldn't take new dates here bc it's not really a "talk while they
This place never disappoints, good selection of drinks and great bands playing live. They could probably up the service and accept cards at some point. But love every time I come it’s just a great experience for music lovers.
A wonderful place to experience live music in Chicago! Full of history, charm, and character, it has been open for over a century and was once frequented by Al Capone. We’ve been here to see jazz, which was lovely, and a comedy show featuring local comedian and puppet influencer Chad the Bird, where
Great historical spot for live music. Went on a Tuesday night and it was busy, so if you want a decent seat go early! Also the staff were all very friendly but there was only one person running drink orders and it made the wait times for a drink insane.
This place is absolutely fantastic! The music was hot, the drinks were cold (and strong!). Don't forget your cash, but there is an ATM in the front in the worst case. Quite a few people were dressed in vintage clothes to come listen to the band. It was a lot of fun.
At the risk of getting more people there, I still have to say… Thursday nights at the Mill are where it’s at!! Alan Gresik found a ton of scores from when big bands still had to go to radio stations to broadcast, and so every Thursday night here they put on a 1940s-style radio show. It even includ
