It took me a most of a decade to finally end up over in the Ukrainian Village, when it finally stopped it was worth every bite and sip of that ooey gooey and vanilla shake. If you get the fries, you get a free beefy cheese sauce from that juicy burger running into your basket of fries.
Everything about this place is fantastic. The shrimp is some of the best and the hotdogs, burgers and sausages are top of the line.
When my wife and I walked into Fatso’s we had no clue we were in for such a treat. The dogs, burgers, fries, were all amazing. But the real star was the Mac and cheese. We both couldn’t get enough of it. And as we walked back to our Air BnB, we enjoyed the Oreo shake. This place was awesome. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Chicago.
You can go to some trendy or pompous place for a burger that you're going to pay too much for, but Fatso's legitimately has the best burgers in the city. Double Smash with cheese. Take it from me, I'm fat.
Whether it's for lunch, dinner, 2am drunk food, or a hangover cure, fatsos always hits the spot. There isn't anything on the menu that is not a greasy batch of heaven.
The veggie burger was the best burger so far that I've had...honestly will come back and try their veggie dog
First time here and I absolutely loved it! Best mac & cheese I've ever tasted. It was creamy and cheesy, and the bacon just took it to another level! The char dog & the shrimp po'boy was amazing! Please open a location in the Chicago midway area :)
A hotdog stand with really yummy char burgers and char hotdogs,polish and smashed burgers.prices are good. Minimal inside seating but outside patio is nice,clean and large.small parking lot.
I had a good buzz on and the wonderful young lady at the register was very friendly and patient as I stumbled through my order, lol. All the guys cooking were joking around and the whole atmosphere was just great. My burger was delicious too. Hot, greasy and delicious.
Everything is great, just be sure to get the mac n cheese on top of anything you order if they allow it :)

Was there yesterday got a charged dog and chocolate shake best meal I had all day
Everything was great. I got a charred dog with everything and homemade cheese tots. SO GOOD. A couple spots inside to eat, tables outside (where we sat). Food comes out decently fast and hot a I can absolutely see why it stayed consistently busy
Top tier burger joint. Food is cheap and delicious. You can order inside and wait outside until the food is ready, they will call you in over speaker.
I have only had the burger but it is a great deal, a lot of food and hard to beat the price for the area.
The service is ok. We did not have to wait long for our food but there was some mistakes in our order.
Highly recommend if you want a quick easy lunch or dinner, great to come with a friend.

I played tourist today and stopped by here for lunch. I came with an empty stomach and was pretty hungry. We ordered ahead online since we weren’t sure how busy they might be. There were only 4 parking space but we were lucky and got the last one. Inside was spacious with plenty of seating. We ended up ordering 6 different items to try and split between my husband and I. Got our food pretty quickly. We really enjoyed the Chicago dog and the New York dog (Chicago dog was my fav of the 2). The ooey gooey burger was interesting but very messy (as the name implies). The runny cheddar cheese was good though and soaks into the bun nicely. The beef sandwich was pretty spicy! It had jalapeños on it but it tasted as if the beef itself was soaked in the jalapeño juices as well to really get that spice up in there. Onion rings were awesome and definitely hand made. They came with a sauce that was perfect for them. Mac n cheese could have used a little more flavor but my 2yo liked the spiral noodles and ate it up. Lastly we had a Reese’s shake that was the perfect dessert. Very good all around!! Staff was pleasant and speedy.
Burgers at its finest! Very affordable prices but so much flavor and huge portions! I added on an egg and bacon to my double cheeseburger but I think I could've done without an egg because the whole burger was already so delicious and rich as is. One of my top burger places in Chicago!
I order from this place more than I’m willing to admit, they’re always fast and I’ve never had a bad burger from here!
This place has the best burgers in Chicago (in my opinion) their cheese tater tots are my guilty pleasure. I’ve had their hotdogs too but the burgers here will always win my heart.
My goto burger when I’m craving. Their shakes are eyeroll good and the fries are perfect.
My 1st time here,I ordered a hot dog with everything. ONE OF THE BEST HOTDOGS I'VE EVER HAD. They are a little pricey, but listen...... that hotdog was worth it. I am absolutely going back!
Great food but a little pricey. First time here and the atmosphere was decent. Waiting area is a little crowded but there is room outside to wait when the weather is nice. The front of the counter is filled with magnets for free which I thought was pretty cool. Our food was made fresh to order. The size of the burger for $6 is not what I expected. I thought it'd be bigger. However what it lacks in size it makes up for in taste. It was amazing! The fries were so good and they don't skimp on them. I believe the sign said it's 1lb of fries. My son said the chicken tenders were good too. I'd definitely go back.
Overall the burger was good. Sadly it took several minutes for someone to place my order. The fries were great however I wouldn't recommend the cheese fries. Beware the cheese was a sharp cheddar but my problem with it was the gritty texture. The prices weren't fantastic a burger costs $6-10. The fries ($5) seem expensive but you do get a heaping quantity. I do see myself coming back to try the hot dogs.
Not the best Chicago dog. The relish is wrong, too little celery salt. Fantastic pepper. Great staff. I would definitely go there again. I didn't have the burger, but my 12 year old grandson loved it.
Oh my god this char dog was so good. I’ve been to Chicago before and never had the chance to visit Fatso’s. I was able to make it in on a super rainy day. They were empty and I ordered a char dog with everything. The simple pleasure of enjoying this hot dog inside of this place is indescribable. It was so delicious and the employees were great.
One of my favorite places to stop when I go to Chicago! It makes me want to explore and see what else the Ukrainian Village has to offer. The Char dogs and fries are amazing!
The burgers were delicious and I love that nacho cheese. They mix that nacho cheese with something but it's more delicious. I also had them mix me A chocolate & banana shake and it had me in heaven. 🍔 🧀 🫕

Charred Double Dogs and Fries with side of Cheese. Good food, service, and clean facility. Nice outside seating. Will return for another scrumptious meal.
Food is great, but make sure that cheese sauce will be not so good (it looks like a piece of cheese, which tried to be melted). Sometimes it is so crowded, so you need to wait for your pick up longer than usual.
The fried pickles were some of the best I’ve had in the city. Really good and fresh comfort food!
