This place is great.. it was decorated for the holidays .. absolutely beautiful.. the Buffer brunch is not only a good price $32 and food is amazing! And they had a Chocolate Fountain… Need I say more??? They have everything from Fish and Chips to Tacos .. Eggs Benedict was outstanding.. perfectly poached .. hollandaise sauce was so good! Hash brown casserole was crazy good! I can go on and on!
I enjoyed myself & my friend did also. We had the Sunday brunch & each ordered a mimosas. There were a wide variety of foods, cold & hot. I must say, my favorite were the desserts there. I absolutely love trying new places, but this 1 is a definite return place!
Had a great dining experience here with a large group of friends, celebrating a birthday. They went out of their way to be of service, and played the bagpipes for my friend's birthday!! The Christmas decorations, up early but I never mind that, were simply stunning! Will be back!!
Are you Irish? (Read till the end)
If you are, you will feel at home eating here.
If you are not, you will feel like an authentic Irish while eating this food.
Whether it's their famous fish and chips, their poutine or their reuben sandwich, I guarantee you'll enjoy the time you spend there.
Because it's not the food the only thing that makes this place special, it's their excellent team of hosts, servers, bartenders and owners and their special decorations for christmas and Saint Patrick's day.
Definitely a place you must visit.
(Lifehack: they have a special buffet brunch on Sundays and it's all you can eat, don't miss it!)
Really great buffet. It’s expensive, but everything was great. We were charged extra for coffee. Thought it was weird that wasn’t included. We were sat upstairs which wasn’t as great of an atmosphere and service was slow, so I’d request sitting downstairs. It’s a cool place.
My husband & I have visited before. It is the perfect place to kick off the Lenten Season. Both meals hit the spot and that soda bread is fantastic!! We will definitely return. A fun atmosphere and a nice neighborhood gem!
My wife and I celebrated our wedding at Chiefs in June!
Everything was exactly what we were looking for.
The garden was beautiful, the food was beyond what we expected, and the staff just so well versed in what they do.
They really made our day memorable.
Working with Chrissy and Siobhan during the event planning was fun, easy and stress free. Even with all that ease, they delivered in such a professional way.
Thank you so much!
We’ll be stopping in for a pint soon enough!
Dont think about it, just go!
Came for brunch and, of course, very crowded and the place was packed which was to be expected. We were seated at the bar, which we didnt mind. The bartender was great to us--attentive, personable, and kept conversation with us when he could. Also, originally from Ireland! 😁 Learned a lot of the pub's history and talked of soccer as it was playing on the screen. The food was spectacular! Coming from a smaller city and not having anything like this, honestly, this my first brunch buffet and had no expectations whatsoever but to have an ayce brunch and aycd bloodies/mimosas. It's an A+! This place is one to remember. The selection was outstanding from table to table. Their breakfast pastries and desserts--a huge selection as well. The atmosphere was lively, just seeing families together ranging from infant to someone in their 90s. I was also able to spectate for a few seconds an Irish event happening at the same time (awesome to see). The space, decor, the people gives a feeling of warmth and comfort, making one feel at home. Thanks for an awesome experience! I can't stop raving about this place and will definitely be back.
Our overall dining experience was good, but could have been a little better. For it being St. Patrick's Day they seemed under staffed & orders were slowly fulfilled. We started with a bowl of Baked Onion Soup (bountiful flavor but subtle) & Cheese Curd Fritti (light & fluffy) which made it to the table before we received our drinks which were a Red-Haired Lass (unimpressive to say the least in every way) along with a Magners Cider Beer (excellent if this is something you like). Our entrées were the Shepherd's Pie (the Rosemary stood out) with Fish & Chips (the Malt Vinegar was awesome & the Mushy Peas were a pleasant surprise). We ended our evening with both the Crème Brulée (average) & Bread Pudding (this was EXCELLENT! served with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream but the flavor & texture were awesome & the Rasins were a delightful touch). I would recommend dining here for sure to experience the atmosphere & menu for yourself.
Friendly neighborhood pub with great service & delicious food. The Shepherd’s Pie is highly recommended. 🥰
Chief O’Neill’s is, by far, my favorite brunch! The food never disappoints and the staff are all so amazing! Siobhan did a great job organizing for my party in the second level event room. Our bartender Emily took great care of all of us, which couldn’t have been easy with 50 plus people. She did it effortlessly and was friendly and professional in doing so.
Another Hidden Gem I ran across on my mid-week Dinner Discovery. This place has an amazing outdoor presence with plenty of space in between tables and it’s a large amount of outdoor seating. Everything was amazing and tasted great. We had almost all the starters, all very good. My favorite of course was the calamari with shrimp. They have a great Irish beer selection and whiskey for days. The inside feels like your really in a Irish Pub in Ireland. Great atmosphere and a most try if you happen to be in the area.
Just stopped in for a few drinks and did not eat anything yet ( we will be back to eat ) service at the bar was friendly and fast . There were a lot of seat available when we were there.
I felt like I was in someone's living room with the fireplace and decor. it is a very welcoming environment. they also had live Irish Instrumental music. I had a burger , which was basic. The bottom bun was dry like a rock. My wife had fish and chips that was delicious! I will definitely go back and recommend others to visit.
This bar is so cozy. The Christmas decorations are so cool and cute. The food is delicious and the Sunday brunch all you can eat is really good. The staff is friendly.
Wow what a find! We had a great time here. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun there was a lot of interesting photos, pictures, costumes and books to look at. They have a large bar, big indoor seating area and large, beautiful outside seating . We will be back with family! We were treated to a 10+ piece band while we ate. The waitstaff was pleasant and fast.... So glad we happened to pass by this restaurant !
Great family business. Super friendly well trained staff. We met the owners who made us feel welcome. We were there on a Sunday and arrived just as there brunch was ending. We didn’t partake but it looked amazing. Bloody Bar, soups and apps we ordered were fresh and wonderful. Beautiful patio, great bar, extensive unique menu and immaculate restrooms. Great Chicago Tavern.
My fiancé and I did our wedding shower here in early June. The shower was outside in their garden area and it was amazing! The garden area was stunning and everything was in full bloom. You didn't even feel like you were in the city. We were able to feast on their brunch buffet, which everyone love. I also have to give a big complement to the staff and owners. They were always on point with drinks, food, and whatever else any of our guests needed. They were also very nice and friendly and really added to the shower. Would 100% recommend you come here.
