Walnut Room - Chicago - Photo album

This is my first year having dinner in the Walnut Room and it will definitely turn into a tradition going forward. The tree is beautiful and the atmosphere is so festive. The service is great! All of the employees seem to enjoy what they do and interact with the customers. The menu isn’t very long b
Still a great classic after all these years. I've been coming here for almost 40 years. Unique trees with different colors and themes yearly. Didn't seem to be as busy in the past, but it's early. Pricing is still very modest for the area. The server was very friendly and nice. The appetizer came ou
This was a bucket list experience and it was awesome. I was worried the food would be average, but the burger was great. Kids chicken fingers with chocolate milk was also a big hit. We got seated next to the tree and it was awesome. The server, Annette, was super kind and good. Highly recommend doin
This was my first time going. I’ve heard from many others that they went as a child and it’s a tradition to go every year. I had expectations of going in it’s a “instagram” place or overpriced with mediocre food due to its location, but after today’s first experience, I think otherwise. Jesus was g
This has been a favorite since I would come here 30 years ago when it was in Marshall Fields. Although it no longer has a long waiting list to get in or its signature dishes it still has excellent food, service and a beautiful setting. The salmon salad was large and delicious and my husbands sirloin
We had an amazing time. The food was SO GOOD and FRESH. Fast and Good service. Our waitress “Lori”, OMG, she was amazing. She deserves a promotion or a pay raise. She Was kind, patient, took time to care for our needs, explained the menu etc. If I ever go back, I want her to be my waitress next time
This is a great little find! First off it's on the top level of Macy's in Chicago's downtown, I automatically thought , food court! Boy Was I wrong! Very traditional styled with a sense of old elegance... we, my party of 4, immediately thought yeah we're underdressed. But it didn't matter we were
Had lunch here yesterday and they were just putting up the Great Tree, so that was a treat to see. Only six people here at the time and we got to sit by the window. Great views from here! A friend and I ordered the Peach Basket and Asiago chicken, which was delicious! Servers and hospitality sta
Dining at a place with so much history my family and I had a wonderful experience. I ordered the Asiago Crusted Chicken it was good. The food comes out fast. For dessert the kids ordered a build your snowman and we got the Frango cheesecake.
Fantastic vintage vibe here. Since coming here as a child seeing a different tree every season has always been a joy! Very cool looking candy style tree this season! Food was ok, nothing to brag about, pricing is very modest given it's downtown Chicago!
