Very flavorful, spicy but not burn your insides out. Started with the empanadas. They were perfect. Almost made me sorry I didn't order The brisket. This changed when the ribs arrived. Be ready to share the portion, half rack, is enormous. Smiley flavor with a hint of zatar. Loved it. Sides could not live up to the entree but were just fine. The green beans quite tasty and cooked perfectly. The chicken shared the rib flavor and was succulent. Service is perfection. Polite, attentive and not in the way.
There are a few reasons Milt’s is fantastic.
- The service is curtious and prompt.
- Your meal hits the table incredibly fast and all at the right temperature.
- The selection of menu items is immense for the BBQ fan, and non-BBQ fan as well.
- The ore portions are spot on, just a little more than required, but not over the top.
- The level of quality in the food is second to none, and when you bring price into the equation, the value is unprecedented.
Excellent meal, reasonably priced for what we received. Two for dinner starting with a magnificent smoked tomato soup. We shared the rib and chicken combo which can best be described as 4 "Fred Flintstone" ribs, half a chicken, corn bread vegetables and a couple of soft drinks. Less than $100. Before a well deserved tip. I liked the staff. They wanted me to enjoy the meal.
Truly a fantastic place! In addition to stellar service and a relaxed atmosphere, the BBQ is outstanding! Well seasoned and well flavored. The cole slaw is amazing, as are the baked beans. The portion sizes are very generous. You will not go wrong eating here!! Plus, I ordered a Manhattan and it was made to perfection!
Milt's Brisket and smoked chicken were terrific. We got three different sauces too! I'd been meaning to try Milt's and as luck would have it; today I did. Dee-lish!
I'm veey thankful to have a Kosher boss who to my surprise, ordered Milt's catering for our office Christmas party! So good! There was no brisket left! Oy Gevalt!

Prices are a little high but well worth it. The ribs are delicious!! Best I've had. Try the baked beans as well. Yum! Fried Okra, the sauce is delicious. I can keep on going.

It doesn't matter. Bryan as executive chef and Stephen as GM run a wonderful house. We had brisket, ribs, and saetin, with slaw, beans, and hummus to accompany.

We got the Thanksgiving take out dinner this year. From the start, the experience was a pleasure when the chef was willing to talk to me about the ingredients so that I could ensure the meal would fit my family's dietary restrictions. And the food itself was great! The turkey was huge (still working on leftovers) and the varied side dishes were each delicious and memorable in their own right. I still can't fathom that I walked away from the table talking about the stuffing and cranberry sauce but that's how good it was! While this year's dinner is probably still digesting, I would highly recommend people already start considering the milt's dinner for next Thanksgiving.
Fabulous food! Been here twice and well worth the $20 cab fare each way! Top kosher place I have been too! The owner is a wonderful giving man! Love this place!! Maybe put one in Philly??? Please??

I've never had BBQ so delicious before or since. I live in New Jersey, and have craved Milt's food many times since returning from my visit to Chicago. I highly recommend it to anyone I know who is visiting Chicago.
Full slab of beef ribs between two starving guy , it was out of this world . My friend from New York City said it’s the bbq ribs he’s ever had . Amazing !!!
Super tasty sandwiches and ribs. Really nice atmosphere, friendly service (shoutout to Jordan!) and super yummy kosher food. I drove up from west loop to eat here. Happy to return!
Very good, but not great. The hard to get (?) ribs were visually impressive, enormous and delicious (and expensive) but a little dry. You can't really go wrong with any of the meat dishes but all of the BBQ sauces were a little too sweet. Sides are meh. The service is terrific.
This is a very cool restaurant. All-kosher menu with vegetarian and vegan options. Being from Oklahoma where there are little to no veggie friendly options let alone kosher barbecue, we were impressed! On this day, we received a text regarding our reservation stating that the restaurant would be hot due to outdoor temp & A/C issues but it is $15/person to cancel within 24 hrs of your reserved time. I would have appreciated a waiver on that fee, because the restaurant was truly extremely hot! Their food is very good, maybe just not a great day because of the heat.

A delicious Kosher BBQ spot near Wrigley Field. Came here before a game and was pleasantly surprised at the how well the food was cooked and the good variety they offered. Apps were also very good. Go with confidence
One of the best restaurants I have ever gone to. You have to try the Chili!
Update four years later: Milts does nothing disappoint. If I could I would have tired everything. Brisket Chilli is still my favourite. I had the Brisket burger as a main, I would take it without the bread, the burger itself was fantastic.
Really great service and really reasonably priced.
BTW, had trouble finding parking and then found out they have parking lot across the street.
The best place ever!!! My husband and I were visiting Chicago for a couple of days and we went to Milt’s twice for dinner. This is one of the best meat sandwiches I have ever had. The service was incredible the servers very attentive and helpful!

There is a rib sandwich that we should have gotten! We ordered everything without the buns, and everything we had was delicious! They ask premium prices but the offerings are premium!
