My birthday. My choice because I knew the meat platter would be spectacular. Server John was lots of fun and worked that room like a fiend. Lots of kudos to him for making the evening special. We'll never forget Joe Snow.

Loved it and the great company! Our server John was great and the food was fabulous and fairly priced. A really cool, hipster lounge fitted with a sports bar. Burgers are juice and delicious and I love their white truffles fries.

Delicious food and cocktails in a beautiful building! I'm not sure why this place wasn't packed on a Saturday evening, but I'm glad it wasn't! All of the food was tasty! The prime rib is melt in your mouth! The pastrami was wonderfully seasoned (and made in house) the cocktails were wonderfully crafted (I had the gin garden and I would drink it everyday if I could). The beer selection was very nice as well, a good mix of unique drafts and several bottles (mostly larger format bottles that you would need to share with a friend... Maybe) All in all I plan on returning here, possibly for happy hour, and definitely for dinner!! Thanks for a great meal!

Excellent food and service! Varied menu selections and steak and rib options as Lawry''s sister venue. Highly recommend #SideDoor Chicago

Went for lunch. We both had the prime rib with fries and craft beer. Absolutely delicious! Chocolate cake and Creme Brulee were delectable! Waitress was phenomenal! We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and would return in a heartbeat.

Had a wonderful meal and a wonderful time! Started with a nice warm creamy tomato bisque soup. For me entree I had prime rib that had very good flavor along with fries. I was stuffed but thoroughly entertained with the history of the building and its former tenants. A former mansion for the McCormick family there are tours of the house offered once a month. Future adventure planned!

Had the best Prime Rib French Dip ever. Great Service. Went on a work function and my team tried to recruit the waitress she was so good

This is an excellent casual alternative to Lawry's. After a day of imbibing and walking all over the loop, the prime rib sandwiches hit the spot. Perfectly juicy and tender sandwich, unfussy and full of nothing but good beefy flavor. Service was quick and friendly. Looking forward to my next visit!

A hidden gem in Chicago. Fans of Lawry's steakhouse will enjoy the quieter and more chill experience of side door. Although the atmosphere is more casual the kitchen doesn't skimp on the quality of the food. Simple fare elevated in a cozy spot.

Lawrys tradition -- loads of spectacular chef - driven food, craft beer, drinks, and elevated (but unpretentious) style. A cool joint that with cool ambience and amazing grub!

Just had our law firm lunch at SideDoor today to celebrate one of our attorney's birthdays. The food and service was fantastic! No surprise that the prime rib was wonderful. The appetizers (lobster mac & cheese, chicken wings and avocado mash) were all great. It's also conveniently located off Michigan Avenue near dozens of the best retail stores in the country.

Wonderful place to eat and have a few drinks. Definitely on the more expensive side though. It's a nice place to be casual but not be at a dive bar.

Nice atmosphere and tasty beers and food. Had the fried chicken wings which had a great flavour and the right amount of spiciness. Should have come with some wet napkins to clean though.

Great alternative to Lawry’s service was ok, food was good. Atmosphere has very dim lighting. Good place to take a client for lunch or dinner.

Great food, solid Cocktails. Horseradish slaw was a little underwhelming but the knife and fork pastrami was fan-freaking-tastic.

Sidedoor is top notch. I rarely walk out of a place and think to myself, "I can't wait to come back" but this is definitely that type of place. Great food, grea t atmosphere, and great service.
