I loved the cozy and quiet atmosphere at this restaurant. Plenty of space and quiet enough where you can talk to your party. The food was more forgettable. The bread and oil was great and we liked the balsamic Brussel sprouts. The pasta was relatively normal and the sausage and meatball was on the colder side and not very tender.

I have been here multiple times, but always eat everything before I can snap photos since the food and drinks are so delicious. I always like to make sure I get the nonnas meatballs and I am obsessed with the carbonara. The drinks are really strong and the ambiance is awesome. Music isn’t too loud so you can actually hear people speak. Servers and barbacks are extremely attentive. Service is very fast every time I go.

Went here for dinner with friends. We sat outside as the weather was good. The staff was pleasant and engaging. They gave us some bread while we waited for our meals. Most of our meals were actually delicious. I had the paccheri and grilled chicken, which I enjoyed. The sauce was vodka based with some marinara. The cocktails were good, and they have mocktail options as well. They did double charge us, but after calling them, they said they would rectify it. We had tiramisu for dessert, which was okay. I would like to visit again.

So delicious, great service! very accommodating, fair prices. Food was fantastic - favorites were the carbonara and the carpaccio. They also accidentally brought us the hamachi crudo which we didnt order but kindly let us keep it, and it was fantastic as well :)

Talking about the food,we ordered 2 pastas Carbonara and Orechiette and I don't know wich one I like more. Portions are smaller but it's definetly worthed because it's really delicious. If you are in the area it's definetly worth of stopping by here

A wonderful date night with the wife. Drinks for starters, in which the Luna Loop was my favorite. A smoky mezcal delight. The Bucatini Carbanara definitely lived up to the hype. I really wish I had parmesean to go with it, but the waitress forgot to offer it. They offered a killer Ceasar Salad with pungent anchovies. The King of the Night was the dry aged Ribeye. Please visit this staple in West loop.

My family and I visited this restaurant with the aim of experiencing its italian offerings, and we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and warm interactions provided by the servers: Michael, Daniel, and Leonardo. Additionally, the attentive approach of the manager, Jesus, greatly contributed to our overall positive experience. The service was of such high quality that any patron would undoubtedly find themselves highly content. During our brunch, we ordered the Frittata, Benedicts, and Orecchiette. We made a special request to have the Rock Shrimp replaced with Calamari, and this substitution was handled gracefully. At our table, we shared bites of each other's dishes, and we were thoroughly delighted by the exquisite flavors presented. To add a final perfect touch, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary Tiramisu to share. This thoughtful gesture added to our appreciation of the exceptional service. We are definite in our decision to return to this establishment. Please convey our heartfelt appreciation to the Chef, the servers, and the managerial team. Keep up the excellent work! We wholeheartedly award a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

As always when driving up from Fort Wayne, we made sure to make reservations at Formento’s. This is the best Italien place in Chicago!! And their staff is awesome!

I had the sweet corn dish, it had very unique flavors. It was a ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and a beautiful butter lime sauce. You want to try something new, then you must try this.

Came for restaurant week and had a great time! 4 courses for $59 a person is hard to beat. Food was all good, nothing blew my mind but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t still very enjoyable! Service was good. Server seemed overwhelmed which is to be expected during restaurant week. We sat in the back area which is kind of interesting. Overall a good experience!

Amazing Italian food! I judge Italian restaurants based upon their non-pasta dishes. There were plenty to go around and lots to try. We had a large group and they were very accommodating! They even split the bill without being asked!! The fried calamari was perfect! Light and crispy. The old fashioned was nice and stiff. (Pause). I had the lamb cooked medium rare and it had an incredible char. Perfectly paired with the Brussels sprouts. 10/10 would recommend.

Early dinner starting at 6pm wasn't busy/crowded at all. Sat outside where there was more tables available outside than I would've expected and spaced well. Great spot for people watching as well as there are so many characters walking by! Service was spot on from the get go as our server was extremely friendly having us laugh along with her. Gave good recommendations when we had questions and checked on us without going overboard. Felt like we had ordered the entire menu as we got a nice range of dishes. Started off right as they brought out black pepper focaccia with olive oil to wet our whistle. For an appetizer, Oysters were tasty (east coast tasted smoother and would recommend those). Definitely get the burrata and heirloom tomatoes as well as grandma's meatballs. Tiger prawns were the only meh dish as they were a bit mushy in texture and so so flavor. All pastas were great, but the carbonara nailed it with the crispy pork bits. Chicken parm was succulent as was the skirt steak. Tiramisu was excellent, but the chocolate cake took the... Well, took the cake. Moist, succulent, right amount of sweetness... We ordered another to go. Must come back!

We made a reservation at Formento's for a group of 4 since we had friends visiting. The interior of the restaurant is well done and we sat at a table by the windows. The server came over promptly and welcomed us in. They offered a variety of drink selections as we got settled and were attentive throughout our meal. The Carbonara was one of the best I've ever had and can't wait to go back to have it again. We also had the Agnolotti and the Chocolate Chip Cookie dessert, both of which were tasty. Our visit to Formento's was fantastic and our guests really enjoyed the experience. They have a great selection of pasta for drinks for any occasion. We'll certainly be back!

The food was good, I especially didn't expect the tomato basil soup to be served in such a big bowl. The Mezzaluna pasta was really good if you're someone who likes mushrooms. The ambience was decent enough and the service was okay.
