Fun spot for some English pub vibes with an American twist. Wouldn’t call it a dive bar. Menu has plenty of British pub staples, with the bangers and mash and pies being especially tasty. Draft beer options are pretty strong, with an emphasis on Midwest craft. Obviously touristy but would still return without hesitation.
Nice pub in Chicago. The portions are massive for the price. And the quality and taste is also so worth the price. I got the chicken pot pie with a side of poutine, the fish and chips, and buffalo wings. The pot pie was delicious (a little soupy, but very homey). The poutine was also pretty good, crispy fries and thick gravy. The buffalo wings were a hit. The fish and chips were a little soggy and could’ve used more salt, but overall great. The drinks were perfectly strong. And our server was the best. There was a rowdy crowd of people there on a weekday night all over eachother and our server made sure to check up on us all the time and make sure we got everything quick and hot!
It felt so good to sit by the fireplace.....my sister wanted the fried pickles. Good customer service....we went on Halloween and it was the first time I seen it not crowded. It felt like we had walked into London for a moment.
Amazing service and food. Got there around 10:30, got seated instantly, food was served shortly after ordering, and server was super kind and took good care of us. I got the greek yogurt parfait with a side of breakfast potatoes, around $15 total, my mom got the french toast which was around $10
I went here with a group of friends and had a great time. The bar table was a little tight for 4 adults but the service and tasty food made up for the squeeze. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for in a pub late at night in Chicago - friendly servers, good food, not so loud you can't carry on a conversation, and clean bathrooms.
How many restaurants can meet the dietary needs of a heavily keto diet, a primarily fish-focused carnivore, and two vegetarians with different tastes? Not many ~ and this place excels at it!
My husband loved the Cheesy Leek and Potato Pie. Generous serving with a fresh salad too.
I enjoyed the Falafel Wrap, although the sriracha and other flavorings tended to overpower the falafel imo. Pub fries were hot and crisp.
NOTE: The menu posted here is not accurate. Check their website for a current menu as there are several big differences (no longer serving the Impossible Burger as far as we could tell, for example).
Also this is a pub and it's really noisy with happy sounds and lively music. We happened to be seated in an area where we could still converse without shouting, but some tables would be challenging due to the volume.
We will definitely be back!
We had a great lunch today! Awesome fish n' chips and sheppard's pie. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!
We had a terrific time at this pub. The food was delicious and we had a great service. The cheese toasties are yummy. And the gravy coming with the mashed potatoes is finger-licking good. The drink called "penicillin" is a must for Scotch lovers. I would recommend this restaurant anytime.
The pie flight is adorable and delicious — great if you can't decide what you're after! The chicken pot pie was my favorite of the bunch, but all four varieties were great. I also enjoyed the onion and ale soup. My server Grace was a delight and made me feel at home as a solo diner. Good, lively atmosphere and great service; no complaints!
Delicious pub food! Nice atmosphere, our table was right next to the window and we were able to people watch on a busy Saturday!
