Al's Italian Beef

The best sandwich in the world!! Got my bag searched at the airport trying to get one home... totally worth it. If I lived in Chicago they would be my death. The service was excellent, too. Knew I was from out of town and hadnt had in years so the guy did everything he could to make everything great and one sandwich ready to go in my carry on. Do yourself a favor... get a dipped Italian Beef wit hot peppers at Al's.

We walked up and down the street looking for a place to eat that we have never been to and we found Al's. This Italian beef sandwich was amazing, the french fries are awesome, my wife and youngest daughter both got regular cheeseburgers and my oldest daughter and her boyfriend got the buffalo chicken sandwich.EVERYBODY was blown away how good everything was.

Delicious Chicago food. From the Chicago style hot dog to Italian Beef, it is all available. Recommend trying it at least once! The beef is delicious, especially with the juice. We liked it so much we had to eat there twice before we left. Not too pricy, and the standing "seating" allows for plenty of room for others.

First time in Chicago, decided to try an Italian beef. I would say good, not great. Beef quality was pretty low, but the pricing reflects it. Definitely get the sandwich dipped, as the bread/Au Jus combo was delicious. It was cold as all get-out outside, and the door was open a lot with customers coming and going.
