We had a hard time finding this place because Google Maps routed us through the park, and being late at night we didn't want to walk through the park. So we tried to get there via the streets and didn't find it easily since it's off the main road. We've been to the MingHin in Chinatown, and this is one of six locations in the Chicago area. The ambience and decor are very nice, and you don't feel crammed in next to other diners. It's nice to enjoy a leisurely Cantonese meal in an atmosphere like this. You order off a tablet on the table. While that took a bit to figure out, in the end it's efficient, and the food came out quickly. The menu is very extensive, so there is definitely something for everyone. For our late-night dinner, we ordered beef rice noodle and stir-fried chow mein noodle with soy sauce. For the price, the rice noodle dish seemed on the small side, while the chow mein noodle was more than we needed. Flavors were good, and the dishes really hit the spot on a chilly autumn night. We also tried a red bean pudding, which was light, refreshing and not overly sweet. Service was sufficient, though not warm and friendly. You do need to hail down a server if you need something since they don't come by to ask if you need anything. All in all, a good experience, though on the pricey side, and we'll back if we're in the area.

Great food and location. Ordering must be completed on iPad/tablet provided by waitstaff. Because of this, the service is a little lackluster. However, food more than makes up for this and prices are unbeatable.

I'm not a huge dim sum person, but when I feel like it or mostly when my friends want it then I prefer to go here. I like the shrimp dumpling with green chive and panfried turnip cake. My friend likes the chicken feet. I like congee, but here I don't think it is one of their strong dishes. For dinner, I like their salt and pepper shrimp a lot usually with one of the vegetable dishes and rice.

Great dim sum offerings with delicious main dishes as well. We came here for lunch after a morning at the Art Institute and were seated immediately. The dishes were easy to order and came out pretty quickly. The siu mai and bao were our favorite dishes. We also ordered some fried tofu and bok choy for the table, which were very tasty. Highly recommend for a decent dim sum experience while downtown.

Pretty authentic Chinese food, visited twice. Ordering with the ipad has always been very smooth. Orders came out quick. Duck and fried noodles were especially delicious. Lychee Mango drink was delicious too. A little bit pricey, but is somewhat fair given it is near the tourist attraction area. Would still visit again!

Was craving some authentic Chinese food after a week in Chicago, and Ming Hin really hit the spot! A friend recommended it, and said that Ming Hin is her go-to in Chicago every time for good Chinese food. I ordered a few dim sum dishes, and they were all good. The portions were generous, and the ingredients tasted fresh, especially the shrimp. Four dim sum dishes and 2 beers worked out to $40, which is very reasonable for quality dim sum in downtown Chicago. I'll definitely eat at Ming Hin again the next time I'm in Chicago.
