Tufanos Vernon Park Tap - Chicago - Photo album

This place is a gem! The outside seating and the delicious smell that welcomes you as you are passing by the place is just beautiful! The calamari was super good and the pasta dishes were fresh, flavorful, and very filling! Make sure you grab a bottle of wine as well!
A little more of a local vibe and not toursity. The food is excellent (especially the tiramisu) and priced fairly. I took the train from near the airport just to visit and I feel like it was worth the trip. I'll definitely be back.
We cleaned those plates! Loved the ambience. Got to watch the Sunday night football games as well. Would definitely come again!
Delicious large portions & super friendly staff. Everything you could ask for in a laid-back casual old-school Italian restaurant. Highly recommend for your go-to neighborhood meal. Venmo, or CASH only. Like I said - It’s old-school.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tufano's Vernon Park Tap, and I can't help but share my exceptional experience. This Italian restaurant has undoubtedly secured its place as one of my favorites in the city. From the moment I stepped in, the welcoming ambiance set the stage for a memorable e
First time there and food was amazing and our server was very friendly. Love the atmosphere, the jerseys on the wall and historic photos everywhere at this old-school Italian restaurant. Highly recommend! Cash only and will visit again!
Nancy was amazing! Everything was delicious. Make sure to get the an order of the mussels with white wine sauce! The sausage and peppers were also very tasty! Thank you for an incredible meal at the end of our trip 😄
I’ve been coming here for 25 years and I will always come back. A family owned cash only restaurant where the menu is written on a chalkboard while you feel like you are in a Godfather movie makes the ambiance and atmosphere feel like home. The best Italian this side of Rome. The food is delectable.
Old-school Italian Chicago restaurant. I have been coming here for years and continue to love every experience. The lemon chicken with potatoes is out of this world. I always get the potatoes extra well done. I also enjoy their house Chianti in a carafe. Calamari, mussels, you name it… It’s all deli
Joann and the staff were terrific!!! Alexa waited on me and was outgoing and so helpful. 5 out 5 all day long.
We absolutely love this place and dine here every time we come to Chicago (at least 3x/year). The food is great, service great, it’s like going home! Hate to tell you about my secret Italian hideaway but they deserve the praise. Favorite May be the mussels in red sauce.
One of the best Italian spots in Chicago. Portions are huge, staff is amazing and the prices are always reasonable. Highly recommend stopping here if you are passing through Chicago looking for amazing local Italian food. Inside and outside seating with a dog friendly patio.
The service was amazing! The place was so busy and we felt like we were very taken care of from the moment we put our name in. The food was a perfect portion and so delicious.
Like stepping back in time! We came here in 2002 for our anniversary, and while the neighborhood is very different, the food here is exactly as we remembered. Highly recommend the eggplant parm or literally any pasta with the Auntie Jo's sauce. Jade was a delightful server with excellent recommenda
Classic Chicago restaurant. Did not rate service for this last visit because I was there for a private event, but it has always been excellent in the past. Similarly, because of the nature if the event, a limited menu was served family style. But even a visit like this reminds me that I need to vis
Fabulous spot hidden away on Vernon Place ... my dad first took us there, decades ago ... maybe even 50 years ago ... Fabulous non pretentious food and warm friendly atmosphere. A true neighborhood joint. Worth a visit, you won't be disappointed
