We all enjoyed a delightful dinner. Mario stopped by to check on us. Toasted ravioli with marinara was awesome! Our group had eggplant Parmesan, sausage and peppers, pizza, and chicken parmesan. Really good! Tiramisu and ice cream top notc. Our group will be back!
Everything in this place is amazing I was introduced to this restaurant by my son yesterday.... there were five of us I had the chicken marsala and I can truly tell you I've never had better in my life and everybody else thought the same thing about the dish they ordered. Our waiter was absolutely outstanding, I on a whim I asked him to bring me something pink as I couldn't decide on a cocktail, he brought me this luscious concoction that was infused with raspberry and Chili Peppers spicy and sweet at the same time out of this world I just love this place the attitude in the atmosphere.
The food is delightful, full of flavor. Love the portion choices. The marguerite pizza is one of our favorites along with the tiramisu. Tuesday two for one wine is a favorite as well. Mario is always so gracious and cordial. We've been enjoying his hospitality for years. A neighborhood gem!!
The place is wonderful. On top of having great food, Mario, the owner, personally visiting each table puts it over the top.
My wife and I are in town for the first time for a pleasure visit and we always like trying places that are off the beaten path and not big corporate chains. Well let me tell you she picked a good one for dinner tonight. The chicken parmigiana was awesome and my wife had the shrimp scampi. The wait staff is excellent and the owner even came by for a visit to make sure everything was ok. This is a nice quaint little out of the way place that we highly recommend and it is right across the street from our hotel.
From the wife: I have been to some great Italian restaurants in Italy, and this definitely rates at the top of some of the best. We WILL be back!
From being greeted by the hostess all the way up to Mario the experience was perfect. It was exactly the atmosphere and meal I was hoping to find. A must try for sure if you are looking for a good meal, friendly staff, and home town feel then Mario's is your place.
Mario's Table has excellent food, a wonderful wait staff, & an outstanding bartender! It's the place to go for Italian food!
Quickly becoming our neighborhood favorite in an unassuming location. Drew, the very attentive Manager, made sure everything was perfect. Tortellini dreams! We definitely recommend this spot.
Great meal, atmosphere and service. Mario even greeted us at our table. We will come again and recommend highly to anyone in the area. It was a good finish to a great night!
The menu features over half a dozen different dishes that I want to experience. Enjoyed two of them after going there two nights in a row: bow tie pasta (carbonara-like) and veal marsala. Both were delicious. Waitress was most excellent too (Ivana). Mario stopped by our table to introduce himself and then again later to check on our satisfaction. We had a marvelous evening.
Diavola sauce was to die for! Everything that we got to eat in my group was AMAZING! Our server was great she took excellent care of us!

Absolutely amazing dining experience. A beautifully lit atmosphere with a wonderful staff. An excellent spot for a fancy date. Lastly, Mario's has the best eggplant parmesan. I'd give 6 stars if I could.
Great local place with good food. We were dressed in sweats to get carry out and the manager asked if we waiting for a table. Goes to show how kind they are. Pizza and tiramisu were a stand out!!

I’m writing this review before I’ve even left the restaurant. Very rarely does a meal stun you so much that you feel compelled to put into words to the emotions you’re feeling the instant you’ve finished your food.
We chanced upon this unassuming restaurant today and decided to give it a try. Every person who worked here was so friendly and helpful.
It was a good start - and then we got our food.
I ordered a shrimp scampi. I found this to be probably the best pasta I have had in Chicago. It was so light that you could taste the olive oil, the fresh garlic and the slight sprinkling of Parmesan. A perfect reprieve from overly seasoned dishes that frequent my diet.
My partner ordered the veal saltimbocca, which the waiter told us was flavour dripping into our mouths. He wasn’t kidding. The meat was incredibly flavoured, with a perfect hint of rosemary accentuating the gaminess of the meat.
Finally a quick callout to the bread served at the start of the meal - how was even THIS unassuming starter so so tasty?!
If you’re in the area, make sure you give this place a try - the service and food both deserve it!
10/10 experience. Mario even greeted us and had a chat about the marathon I was running the next day! Gorgeous food and great prices.

Been here, many times, and even met Mario myself. Nothing but great things to say! The pasta, the pizza and specials are great. Really would love to know what happened in May 2019 because strollers are no longer allowed since then as signed in front of the restaurant. The great stroller incident of May 2019? Never forget!
Use to come here often in the early 2000s when I lived in the neighborhood. Just moved back and ordered what I always order. Seafood diabolo and the Caesar with calamari mixed in. Still the same high quality service, vibe and btw, the food is still awesome. Prices gone up but that is expected. Keep it going, Mario's Table!
Mario's table is the best restaurant in this neighborhood! The staff is exceptional, they make it a point to get to know you personally and the food is outstanding! Mario himself is a gem that you don't see in restaurants anymore, he goes around to every table and greets them personally. The manager Melissa remembers us from the first time we went in and her and the staff make it a wonderful experience every single time. The food is awesome and can't say enough about how much I would recommend this cute cozy place!

Very nice local restaurant, friendly folks and they served this neighborhood for more than 20 years. Their signature dishes are decent and pizza is great, thin crust is my fav. Their drinks can be really good. Manager Drew is very experienced bartender as well, just sit down at the bar and he will take good care of you.
Such a cute restaurant!! Really has that local, authentic Italian restaurant feel. My friend also knew the owner through a friend so we were greeted so kindly by him and given a little extra something on the house! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Christmas carols Tuesday night helped to make the season bright! It’s always such fun to meet at Mario’s with friends from the neighborhood. The atmosphere is perfect!

Mario's Table is a great neighborhood Italian Italian restaurant. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed the shrimp scampi. My parents enjoyed the eggplant parmesan and vodka sauce pasta. The service was prompt and friendly. Mario himself walked around and said hello. Despite a number of fruit flies and bugs near our table, was a positive dining experience.
Was in Chicago for a couple nights and Mario's was right next to our hotel. We made reservations and were seated promptly at the right time. It was a lively place with a great-looking menu and comfortable decor.
We started with a small Caesar salad, added anchovies and it was delicious, probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had. I had the veal piccotta, which was amazing. The pasta was cooked very nicely, with just enough sauce to cover and not watered down. My wife had cheese ravioli with vodka sauce and it was quite tasty, as well.
The only down side is that I didn't see many staff or customers wearing masks while not seated. Was a tad bit too many people for my comfort without those precautions.
Aside from that, definitely recommended!
Amazing! Food and service was delightful. We were greeted and seated immediately--a cozy table in the corner. Jeff, our server, was prompt, warm, and charming. Piping hot bread served to us straight away. Jeff made excellent suggestions for our first visit. My wife had Chicken Marsala and I had Mario's Chicken Milanese. Both were scrumptious. Perfectly seasoned and balanced, and again served hot to our table. We both ordered the full order and were stuffed. We were well looked after by Jeff. Mario himself came to welcome us and make sure we were enjoying everything. You won't regret coming here. We will be repeat customers.
