Organized a private event at Bin36 and truly had a phenomenal experience. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and we truly has a phenomenal time. Would love to do it again.

The proprietor, Enoch, along with this staff and kitchen were all amazing! We came in on a busy Friday night and sat out on their spacious patio to enjoy some small plates and wines. They did not disappoint! Enoch's knowledge of their wines (both on menu and off menu) was fantastic and you could see the passion he had for it. The service was fantastic and the all the plates we had - octopus, pimento fritters, Brussels sprouts, bbq okra and the burger - were all excellent. It's hard to pick just one favorite! Their wine flights also make it easy to try something new and different. We'll definitely be back again to sit outside this Summer and look forward to enjoying the indoor dining room and bar once the Fall comes. I'd highly recommend Bin 36 for any occasion without reservation. I also hear they're now serving brunch which I look forward to trying soon!

I LOVE the cheeseburgers here.. they are perfect and gourmet quality! There are also a great number of wine options and the staff is very knowledgeable about the wine as well which helps me because I am definitely not a wine expert. Very cool decorations and look. Right next to the House of Blues if you wanted to catch a show or even go to the bowling alley. Great place for drinks.

Don't miss lunch or dinner at this lovely restaurant. The food is fabulous -- make sure to order the Brussels sprout appetizer. We loved the meatball appetizer as well. The burger was great, the salads are good, and the fish sandwich was terrific. We were there for lunch, but with the excellent wine selection, dinner would be fabulous as well! The owner, Enoch, is there a lot and makes sure that everything goes well. I'll be back!

Great selection of wines, and perfect pairing recommendations to complement their upscale American menu. Love the wine flights which is a great way to explore the flavors of a certain region and flavor profile. Nice upstairs loft space for events - our friends had a wedding reception dinner here, which wads fab!

The food is amazing. My husband and I dined here for our anniversary because we found the Groupon. Our experience was perfect. He had the pork chop and I had the swordfish. We also had to wine flights. The food was perfect and flavorful. I would definitely recommend and I'll definitely return.

I love this place. Right next door to the House of Blues, so a great place to grab a bite before a show! The flavors were incredible and they have a huge wine selection (as inferred with the name). You can even purchase wine after your meal in the little shop attached! The service was impeccable. Super friendly staff- they always had smiles!

Lovely vibe and decor, great service. Broad and detailed list of wine flights that are extensive enough for anyone to find something they like. Tons of variety of whites, reds, rose, etc. Really enjoyed the Spanish Red flight I had. All food items have wine pairing numbers next to them which was helpful in determining both what wines to get and what food to order. Had the Amish Chicken which was okay, the buttery sauce it was marinated in was delightful, but dessert is where Bin 36 really shines; the $25 option for all of the desserts is a steal, with cheesecake, s'more chocolate, blackberry pavlova and creme brulee

Black owned, best wine selection (tasting) I've experienced in Chicago, and overall I loved the cuisine. I had the duck, it was absolutely divine. This was my first time and It was awesome. Will definitely be returning for possible date nights and just because moments.

This review is for the Bin Wine School. A friend and I took the 101 class because although we're experts at ingesting, we're novices when it comes to the science, history, and vocabulary of wine. All of these things, and more, were made clearer to us by our excellent instructor. There were about 20 students in the class, all sitting around a few tables with fancy munchies, handouts, and of course, wine. The centuries have made wine a complex business so the material is fairly academically challenging, but the instructor made it all approachable. If you've ever wanted to learn more about wines, this is the place to do it!

This place has the best lunch specials in Chicago. $8 and constantly changing and evolving. Wine selection is among the best in the city and the list isn't anywhere near pretentious. Go here if you like wine more than you like making sure other people know just how much you like wine.

I personally enjoy the lunch menu at Bin 36 compared to dinner. My favorite is the grilled cheese that has multiple cheeses, a tomato and pesto served on sourdough bread with tomato soup on the side! The Amish Chicken Caesar salad is another great choice. The other time I come to Bin 36 is when we need a spot for drinks and apps before or after another downtown event. Besides their incredible wine selection, they have many enjoyable specialty cocktails. UPDATE: On my most recent trip here, we tried the 'Midwestern Values' cheese plate and it was delicious except the Ara-Bella... so strong! Beware!

The wine flights at Bin 36 are well thought out and pair nicely with the small plates selections. Its a fun eating experience with many options! But when ordering it's important to note that the portion sizes are relatively small.

Made reservations on an extremely busy night. Arrived at the restaurant and was told the reservation had been "lost" despite our email confirmation and that the next table would be over an hour. My boyfriend and I brought our displeasure to the management's attention, and while we considered leaving immediately, we were treated with such kindness from both the owner and the manager that we stayed. Glad we did, as it was a great experience and the food was excellent. Wait staff was attentive and efficient, even when they are swamped. Salmon was excellent. Staff handled our potentially tense situation with the upmost professionalism and kindness.

This airy wine bar is stuck in an odd location by the House of Blues and 10 Pin Bowling Alley but don't let that stop you! I like trying the always-changing curated wine and cheese flights but the light fare is also worth trying. In addition to a dining space they have a small wine shop so if you enjoyed a specific glass you can leave with a bottle.

Came here for dinner wanting to try something new. This place is great for those wanting to try wine and cheese pairings. Learned a lot about these different combinations. Food tastes great too - I had the duck confit salad and very much enjoyed it.

My boyfriend took my here Saturday night, I must say I was impressed. They had a super selection of wine. The staff knew what they were talking about and did not always recommend the most expensive choice. I also liked that they took the time to explain each wine without "Talking-down" to us.

I love how it does not feel like a restaurant when you enter inside. It has little sections where you can shop around like a little cute store. There's a lovely bar in the back...lots of table seats surrounding the 1st floor. There is also a second floor for their events as well ...they do have events listed on their chalkboard posted by the door before you exit out, on your left side. Beautiful light wood everywhere and cute little cubicles hold their products such as their wine.
