Review Noon O Kabab - Chicago

Amanda Kasper
The dining experience was lovely and the food was fantastic! Our party of 4 got two appetizers, the family platter for 4, and a bottle of wine. Upgrading to the dill rice was very worth it! Absolutely delicious. It was so much food we were all able to split the left overs. (Side note, it was also good right out of the fridge the next day) The person waiting on us was so friendly and welcoming, and made our visit extra nice! I’d give more stars if I could.

Amazing place to grab quick lunch or have dine dining. Restaurant has 2 areas, one is kinda self service and the other area is fine dining. Authentic taste!!! You can’t go wrong. Definitely a must try!

The kababs and their rice and salad were awesome, really loved it for dinner. Will order from here again! Baklava was awesome too.

The taste is so good that we are going back definitely!!! At that evening we didn't know much about this restaurant, but we saw so many families are eating at this restaurant, and my daughter checked it was 90%people recommended, we were tired and hungry at that moment. And we decided we should give a try. It was so good, especially the chicken kabobs and the lamb, so juicy and not dried at all. The rice was so delicious and full of fragrant. We were so happy to choose this restaurant. Just one thing, it was over 8pm or something, but the parking lot was full. We had to find another place to park. That was a bit surprised, cause it's not peak dinner time on Thursday night, but still had so many people at the restaurant. That I could only concluded that it is a very popular restaurant in Chicago. 👍 👍 👍 😋

Amazing food! The lentil soup is good, the hummus and falafels are okay. The lamb koubideh and lamb kebab are wonderful , the beef koubideh is also pretty great. You can opt for the white rice or the dill rice with your kebab I think dill rice makes all the difference. The portions are huge, I would recommend sharing family style if you are not big eaters. The salads also looked very good, though we did not try any. They have a pomegranate margarita from fresh squeezed pomegranate juice which is pretty fun and it wasn’t strong, I liked it. The saffron ice cream is wonderful, tastes like creamy rose water, I definitely recommend that one. The service though is not consistent. I don’t appreciate being rushed while dining for the sake of fast service. When I came here before and didn’t order any wine or starters, they had us fed and out the door in no time. I felt like I had no time to enjoy the atmosphere or converse, I ate real quick and I was out. Another time we had more people in our party and we ordered more and was given more peace. It might be up to the waiter as well I don’t know. I know they need table turnover but I would love it if the check didn’t arrive before I ask for it, it gives a “no loitering” vibe, not middle eastern hospitality.

Koobideh, Barg, and Chicken Kabab are popular Persian dishes that are served in Persian restaurants like “Noon O Kabab”. Koobideh kabab is a type of grilled meat made with ground beef or lamb, mixed with grated onions and spices. The meat mixture is then shaped around a skewer and grilled until it is juicy and flavorful. Barg kabab, on the other hand, is made with marinated beef or lamb fillet that is cut into thin slices and then grilled. It is usually served with saffron rice and grilled tomatoes. Chicken kabab is another popular Persian dish, which is made with marinated chicken pieces that are skewered and grilled until tender and juicy. It is usually served with basmati rice and grilled tomatoes We ordered all three dishes. We chose to order lamb and beef while our counterpart friends chose all beef. For sides, we got Salad Shirazi and Eggplant dish. Our waiter Amy was very attentive and delivered our order flawlessly. The manager Mr Farid Nobahar stopped and checked on us while dining. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the service we received at “Noon O Kabab”. The attention to detail from our waiter and her friendly attitude added to our positive experience. If you are interested in trying Persian cuisine, visiting a Persian restaurant and trying some of these kabab dishes is a great way to start!

I was expecting a sit down kinda restaurant, instead it’s a self serve counter! Where you order your food at the counter and they bring your food to your table! We had the ribeye steak and ground sirloin beef! Both comes with rice and couple of grilled tomatoes! If you want dill rice, you have to paid $1 extra! I ordered a grilled vegetable as my side order, it was ok, wouldn’t ordered that again! Both the ribeye and sirloin were very tasty and tender!

The kebab skewers they make here rival even the best places I’ve been to in the Middle East. They have a great variety of different rices to go along with it as well. Seating can be a bit crowded especially for bigger groups

Lunch special are delicious and for a great price. Ambience was perfect and serving staff is very friendly. Would recommend and coming back again.

They have two sections. One where they have servers and it’s nice looking area. Second one is where they have no servers and area is like a take out place with no proper insulation for heat when you sit close to doors/windows. I just don’t like the whole idea of creating a First class and economy areas to make people feel important or less important. Food is alright! We tried mixed platter and also tried their black tea in the end and everything tasted “ok”. I would not say this is the best kabab platter I had but it’s decent price when you sit in the are where they don’t serve.

I have to put you on to the best Persian food in Chicago! The portions are plentiful, the tastes are enriching and the ambiance is celestial. When we went it was a Friday on lent so I could only have seafood and I could not have any added sugars. However, looking at the menu I had still had a lot of choices to choose from. You have to love a restaurant that not only tastes good but you also leave still feeling energetic because the food is nourishing. This place is like your calendar when there’s an event you really want to go to…flexible. That’s because it’s great for a date, get together with friends or if you want to bring family or out of towners they all will be impressed with your food selection

Better to have dinner here before 6 and better be hungry. Free parking both sites of restaurant but not enough after 6 pm. Food here is no doubt look at the reviews. Probably best in the city. Everything is reasonable price. Main dishes no more than $30 with protein and huge portions. Wine less than $40 per bottle or $10 per glass. Tasty food reasonable price for alcohol free parking and great great services. It's so hard to find restaurants like this one.

I am reading everyone's reviews and their comments are incredibly ridiculous & 100% NOT FACTS. The customer service is great! The staff is super friendly and do not get me started on the food. This is probably one of my top five favorite restaurants to visit just because the food is always on point and always leaves me satisfied. The service is always amazing and the servers are always attentive they never leave you alone and that's honestly what I love about the place. I do not wait more than 15 to 20 minutes on my entrees. If you want amazing Middle Eastern food this is the spot you need to visit! As far as recommendations I would totally tell any of you to order the KOUBIDEH the CHENJE & the JOUJEH those are my three favorite entrées. As far as appetizers I order everything because I'm a fatty Boy.

Classic atmosphere. Just crowded enough. Great beef & lamb kabobs. My wife had shrimp. Also very good. A ways off the beaten path but worth it if you’re looking for Persian food.

Most amazing Persian food you will ever have. I have traveled to many locations all over the US and Noon O Kabob is by far the best out there and service is fast and very friendly.

Excellent food! A little pricey for “fast food” and the seating area was chilly, but the meal made up for it 😛

Love it! We regularly dine in and the food is always flavorful and fresh. And recently catered for a small family function and the manager was very attentive and helped us figure out the exact amount of food. Our guests were very pleased. Thank you!

Great food and nice treatment, the meal we ordered was very delicious and not just stuffed with spices. After that we got cups of tea and I liked it. I had a delightful experience here.

Good food and excellent service. Owner is so kind and gracious she didn't charge us the 2 appetizers we ordered. She even brought the bowl of Candy to us to pick which me and my friends grab few pieces. Will be back again.

Excellent food. Had the lentil soup and falafel plate. Rice was nicely done and the salad was mesclun, cherry tomatoes, and a lightly sweet vinaigrette.
