Unbelievable Italian dinner. Giovanni is like family and the entire staff is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend making reservations well in advance because they book up quick. Everything on the menu is super good! Great vibes at Nonnina!!! 10 out of 10

Everything thing here is fantastic. The food, service, and ambiance leave absolutely nothing to be improved on. I can't say enough about this restaurant! If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should!

Solid food for a fair price. This was my second time at Nonnina and both times I had a solid meal from start to finish. This time I got the Carbonara which had a lovely presentation, however, it was lacking the classic Carbonara flavor. The dish was good but it felt like it was missing something. The inside of the restaurant is warm and inviting and the service was great. It isn’t the most authentic Italian in the city but it’s worth a visit.

We got here after unsuccessful attempt to get a table at another restaurant near by. The place it's really nice and clean, atmosphere it's great, quiet place and good to have conversations. The food 10/10 they make their own pasta in-house every day. Jose was the one who helped us during our stay, really nice person and got me a dessert because it was my birthday (really nice of his). Overall i recommend the place, 10/10 in every aspect.

Not a fan of Italian food unfortunately but this place was okay. Not a lot of options though. Service was great and because the weather was nice, we sat outside. The bread though was amazing so fresh and yummy. The caesar salad was good but I wish there was an option for crispy chicken. Anyway if you like Italian definitely checkout this place!
- fried calamari
- the bread
- Maria mocktail
- caesar salad with grilled chicken
- fried eggplant with mozeralla cheese and arugula drizzled with balsamic vinegar

We enjoyed our food here. A bit touristy but still good which is a nice change for touristy. We mostly had appys and snacks but enjoyed it and enjoyed great service. We would go back

Fantastic Italian restaurant that feels like a 5'2" Italian grandma is in the back cooking everything. Could not say higher praise!

Beautiful spot for lunch! The interior is super cozy and well decorated with foliage. Servers are also super attentive and quick to get food out.
The food was pretty good - the sea bass was pretty fresh but a little over seasoned. The pear sorbet was delicious though! It was really great value for a restaurant week lunch.

The Squid ink spaghetti was really good. The spicy cauliflower side went well with it. Would be curious to try some other items next time I'm in Chicago.

I made a reservation for four people, but only three of us ended up going for dinner. You will see the bill shows four guests, but I guess it shows that because the reservation was for four. This place has a nice cozy atmosphere, it’s not noisy so that was great. The staff are all friendly and have a positive attitude. This is an Italian restaurant, the food was pretty good, it’s not the best in the city, but we enjoyed it. I really liked the grilled Octopus appetizer so I may go back and order a few of those and some drinks. The margaritas were good as well. For our entrees, the three of us ordered a Margherita pizza, Gnocchi and a Pappardelle. All the entrees were tasty. My wife and daughter split a gelato which had three scoops and I ordered a pear sorbet which was good, that was a first, never had a pear sorbet before. Our bill for three people came to $177 not including the tip. None of us have any complaints about this place and we will go back again.

I’m not kidding- this is THE best gnocchi i’ve had in my entire life. each flavor melted together so deliciously i couldn’t decide whether to scarf it down or slowly savor each bite! i will genuinely think about how good this dish was forever. the only shame is that it is a seasonal dish 💔

Been to Nonnina many times. I highly recommend both dinner in the dining room and sitting in the classic bar area for drinks and apps. The pasta is hand made. In fact, we received an impromptu tour of the kitchen and saw the pasta machine in use. Sauces are handmade and delicious as well. Drinks are also well crafted and the beer menu is not bad either. Highly recommend for a quiet dinner or a fun happy hour!

Went for lunch. The fritto misto and sauce were EXCELLENT. Best calamari + shrimp I’ve had in a long time. They even give u fried lemon slices in it hehe. The chopped salad was also tasty and the meatballs were solid. Staff was very polite. I look forward to going back!

Delicious pasta choices as well as entrée and appetizer choices in this Italian restaurant close to various theaters. We chose a pasta special of the day of a duck ragu with asparagus over pasta and a squid ink pasta with crab., shrimp, spinach and tomatoes. The duck was very good and the seafood pasta was outstanding. We also had a cappuccino and a panacotta di Nutella for dessert. Excellent finish.
Return trip, delicious food, great service. Tried the buccatini infused with truffles and mushrooms and a dessert of summer fruit crisp with plums, peaches and strawberries topped with a scoop of vanilla gelato. Will be back again.

Wait staff was exceptional. The beet salad was best I've ever eaten. The risotto was scrumptious. The appetizers and gluten free options were amazing! Homemade gluten free pasta was really good.

This is hands down the best Italian place in Chicago. From the service to the food, everything is top notch. I highly recommend.

They have good food and the drink selection is great. Prices are reasonable and its place to go to for lunch, happy hour or just to hang somewhere with friends.

Vodka rigatoni was simply so delish there wasn’t a bit left. And staff were perfect in their attentiveness and efficiency yet we felt we never felt interrupted. Great atmosphere- welcoming, and romantic.

Just when I thought the north end in Boston had the best authentic Italian .... all homemade and cooked to perfection. The taste and temperatures were perfectly combined. To die for cannoli! Incredible Caesar and rigatoni !

This restaurant is amazing!! The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the ambiance was perfect! Juan the manager is outstanding and Leo was an awesome server!!! We did a graduation party for a friend here at their Rivernorth location and everyone was so helpful, kind, and accommodating! I usually don’t write reviews but I had to take the time for this one! Seriously, everyone went above and beyond! They had quite a few “regulars” and it’s easy to see why! Not to mention this was the first time everyone had eaten hear and everyone loved the food! Thank you and they rock!!

Our waiter was fantastic. Really enjoyed the ambiance. The food was wonderful. Two apps, two pastas, two desserts. All was wonderful

5 starts for sure! It’s not a snooty, expensive dressy place. The waiters wear jeans and genuinely want you to enjoy your time there. The food IS PHENOMENAL!! Well worth it. We were not rushed at all, nor did it take a long time. Walking distance from the Westin River North was very convenient.

Meatball sandwich was gross. Had no flavor. Had to throw it away it turned my stomach

Such an amazing experience- just having dessert! We heard of this place because of “eat my big fat cookie.” When we got to the cafe, it was closed. The restaurant opened the cafe for us and treated us like gold for 3 amazing cookies! Looking forward to coming back for dinner!

Went to Nonnina to celebrate my sister, Kathy and brother-in-law, Michael's birthdays. The decor was beautiful...loved sitting outside, eating on the quaint flowered dishes. The service was excellent. The food, from the meatball and sausage and pepper appetizers to the pork chops with peppers and onions, and braciole with gnocchi were perfectly seasoned and beyond delicious. The desserts we had were the chocolate mousse and the neapolitan. They melted in your mouth. I can't wait to go back there again and try other items on the menu, which Im sure will be just as delicious.

Our experience was wonderful from start to finish! The decor & ambiance was cozy. The soup (minestrone), salad (mixed greens), sides(Brussels sprouts), and entrees (double lamb chop and maccheroni + meatballs) were all delectable. No shortage of flavors. Lastly, the wait staff was extremely attentive.
