Slurping Turtle - Chicago - Photo album

I follow Slurping Turtle on the Gram and have been eating with my eyes for long enough. It is sunday evening and easily found parking right in front across the street, this might not be the norm. They decided to keep a lot of the original concrete walls bare which gives a half way built vibe but oh
I came here on a friend's recommendation. This restaurant has almost everything I'd want in a Japanese restaurant. It has a nice vibe, pretty great ramen, and sushi. I got a sashimi platter and the tan-tan ramen. The platter was well portioned, and presented very neatly. The ramen was spicy, which I
Ordered Spicy Miso Ramen. It wasn't so spicy but I added the powder provided with it and it was awesome! The staff were polite. The service was really quick and good ambience. Best spots for quick and amazing workday lunches.
Fantastic for vegans and meat eaters alike! There are many plant based options and the red curry vegetable ramen + silken tofu which I had was filling and delicious. The broth was not too creamy and the kabocha crisps on top were the perfect salty crunchy complement. And the vegetable bao was heaven
5 stars for matcha cream puff and 3 stars for ramen. It totally worth it just to go there drinks and cream puff! Very good intense matcha flavor! Miso tonkotsu was way too salty and didn't really taste much like tonkotsu. Cha Siu was not bad but not spectacular or anything.
First: happy hour is all week until 6pm. DO THIS. Second: Kelsey is great. Fantastic bartender, very chill about letting us take up spots at the bar for like two hours. Third: the door handle IS the giant blade thing attached to the holey black wall. If you go, you'll know. Finally: The food - amazi
Great food and great service. Try the Japanese mushrooms on the side, they are amazing! I've been here at least a dozen times and every dish I have tried hasn't disappointed me. Their edamame and bao are great appetizers. Their ramen dishes and bento boxes were delicious. I can't comment on dessert
Finally tried it and meets the hype. The Tan Tan Ramen was spicy with Rich broth. The Red Curry was terrific, but the true star is the noodles. Tasted a lot more like a real Japanese ramen shop, then a lot of the other places I've tried (7 and counting)
This location has a white exterior with a small second floor to seat extra patrons. I've always wanted to sit up there to get a look at the view but I'm always informed that there ain't a server for that seating area. There's huge pictures covering the wall too. And the ramen? Its delicious! They se
Highly recommend this spot. Great "Slurps" with many choices. I especially like the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen. Also love the "Snacks" to start things off. We enjoyed the Hamachi Tacos, Duck Fat Fried Chicken, and Pork Belly Bao. The service is also outstanding. We had a law firm lunch yesterda
Very solid experience, great service very fast with food and best of all everything tasted delicious. The tokyo shoyu was on point and the pork bao very delicious with a good accompanied salad that had this wasabi mixture that was excellent. I came here hungry and left very satisfied and shocked to
Service was great for our huge party. The bowls came out close together for all 11 of us. The pork was excellent. The kimchi was fresh. Mushroom medley was a bit salty but still good.
To me this is by far the best Raman in Chicago. Reminds me of being back in Tokyo. Hangover Ramen is especially good Spicy from Kimchi with all sorts of treats thrown in. Kara-age fried chicken much better that I have found elsewhere. I could eat it all day. Chef Takashi used to run a wonderful Mic
A very amicable place, great decor, lovely staff. The tables by the window have a nice view over Hubbard St. Give their ramens a try! Don’t bother with the fried rice items. Their rolls are fine. It can get pretty crowded, and you may need to wait for some time before getting a table. Very hard to f
The Slurping Turtle is not just a fun name. They have amazing sushi, spicy ramen and a very cool, chill atmosphere. My husband wanted to find a place with extra spicy food near the gold coast. The hangover ramen and the volcano roll was spicy enough for me but my husband asked for the volcano sauce
Red curry ramen is the best ramen I have ever had. Sadly don’t live in Chicago cause I would order it all the time!
My local friend took me to the place while I was in Chicago. Good food, fast preparation and worth the money. Staff is friendly and explains the menu. Quantity is good. Authentic flavor. Will visit again when am in Chicago.
