Review The Signature Room At The 95thr - Chicago

I celebrated my birthday at the Signature Room prior to experiencing Beyoncé on the Renaissance Tour. The view was amazing. We could actually see the jumbo tron at Soldier Field from our table. The personalized menus are a nice touch. The food was average but not terrible, but in all honesty, you're paying for the spectacular view. For the price, I actually expected the decor to be much better than it was. The dining room is very dated and I was disappointed to look at the table across from us and not only see the legs of the tables because the tablecloths don't go to the floor, but the legs had duct tape on them as well. That was extremely tacky. Our waiters were fabulous. We were pressed for time because the concert was supposed to start at 8 p.m. so we had a 5 p.m. reservation. We were finished with dinner and dessert by 6:30 p.m. even though we weren't seated until 5:30. We had to wait 3 rounds for the elevator, so you should probably get there at least 15 minutes early to avoid being late. I prepaid for parking ($16.50) after seeing that someone paid $68 by parking day of. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would go again just to see the sunset.

Delicious food, good vibes and perfect service. The staff is very attentive and kind. The view is just magnificent! Halibut is a pure delight! I can’t give five stars only because of the dessert with a tempting name “Blueberry crisp with coconut sorbet”. This is a mistake and they should take it out of the menu. If it is offered for breakfast in 2 star hotel, why not but in such restaurant it is a shame. It tasted like cooked blueberries with morning granola. And yes, they forgot the sorbet!!!

Defiantly worth a brunch at the signature room! Brunch makes the prices more reasonable! Let me get into it! Food: Hands down worth every penny. The quality and the presentation are beautiful in every way. The taste was even more amazing. I personally liked the Risotto and my brother ordered the oysters! Simply amazing! Service: Unlike any other place I have been. How graceful the waiters and waitresses were made me feel even more confident. And they recommended dishes to use which was pleasant. Atmosphere: Or ambiance like I call it! The most beautiful view of down down as you sit near the widows. The decor matched every bit of the experience!

My husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here and had a wonderful time! It may be important to note for those who have never visited, that you will need to wait to take the elevator up with a staff member, so I suggest arriving 10-15 minutes before your reservation time. Once arriving we were seated shortly and our evening was personalized with rose petals, wine my husband chose ahead of time, and personalized menus. Our waiter was unbelievably attentive and provided wonderful recommendations. We ordered dessert and were surprised with a lovely chocolate message and candle. The food was not anything significantly superior to other fine dining restaurants in Chicago but you’re paying for the view and quality service. Wonderful for special occasions.

We went to dinner for my birthday on the day after Labor Day and had a great experience. It was a Tuesday so not very busy. The view is amazing. We did this instead of paying to do the 360 view (which I heard is a floor above or below this restaurant). We had a reservation and were sat right away upon arrival. We got a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced for a nice restaurant. My mom got the seafood pasta and a side order of bread, I got the Miso Honey salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. For dessert we got the chocolate mousse cake and it came with a birthday message on the plate. The food was excellent. Our server Raul was kind and friendly. He took multiple pictures for us. The food came out quickly. We really enjoyed everything about the restaurant.

First time here for our anniversary the food is very fresh so the dessert is delicious. Would highly recommend anyone like the upscale high floor vibe, however reservations must do as the restaurant is packed.

What a wonderful restaurant. Located on 95th floor. USP of restaurant is an bird eye view of Chicago city. The glittering lights of city buildings and city roads makes e real beautiful dining experience. The food is amazing. Service is prompt. Staff is very friendly and polite. Advance reservations for dinner is recommend. Ambiance of the restaurant is very nice. Want to have romantic evening and dinner then this the place. High speed elevator will take you to 95 th floor in a jiffy. They also have a lounge on 96th floor.

Wonderful dining experience. Not to mention, the view of the city is absolutely stunning! Huge shoutout to the hostess, Joelle. He was super accommodating and was able to move us (my partner and I) to a window seat once all the guests were seated. Truly, I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in the city!

We had a reservation for 5:00. Our table was by the window. It was an incredible view. We had 3 wait staff waiting on us. They made sure we had a wonderful experience. They took pictures for us when our drinks, dinner, and dessert was served. The food was great and the dessert was delicious. Side note: I read the website to know what the dress code was. I wanted my two teenage girls to dress appropriately. Dressing up makes the day a little more special.

A wonderful place for a date night or celebration with breath-taking 360 views of Chicago from 95 floors in the air. There’s really nothing that compares to a dinner like this. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and well worth the price tag. The staff was incredibly kind, taking note of and acknowledging and birthday, anniversaries, or other milestones. They were always offering to take pictures of customers and doing their best to accommodate their needs. The only opportunity here is the tight squeeze with the tables. Sometimes it can feel a bit tight with a lot of people dining in and servers running back and forth, but it is such a minor detail that I do not think takes away from the overall experience. Highly recommend you try this out at least once if you can!

This experience was one of a kind. The view, service, meal, atmosphere, and so much more was top notch. Our service team really made the night special. The view makes it all worth it. There were 3 proposals near us during out 90 minute or so meal and that really speaks to a romantic atmosphere. Our wine was amazing, the dinner and dessert as shown were so much better than I was hoping for. If you have a special occasion with your partner coming, go here. Only complaint I could have is that one of my pre-paid items was not present at the table but I just can't take away a star for that woth so many other positives.

Received a dirty water cup, but they corrected it. Roasted chicken had no taste. Halibut was very good. The waiter double charged us for one entree when asked about it he corrected it.

First of all, you come here for the view, and the place delivers. Undoubtedly best view in Chicago (it’s a floor above the 360 observation deck). Probably one of the best views from a restaurant worldwide. Knowing this, we went with low expectations for the food and service. We anticipated a touristy place capitalizing on its unique setting. However, we were really pleasantly surprised with the delicious and well made dishes. Service was also great considering a full house. Considering all of this, the pricing is actually reasonable. You need a reservation, as well as to adhere to a formal dress code. No sneakers no shorts. Button down shirts for men. The reservation does NOT guarantee you a table at the window. For that, there will be a waiting time. Ours was one hour which was fine for us cause we were staying right next door. I highly recommend you wait for a table at the window, as it is really the whole reason you’re even there. If you’re there at night, I would also specifically ask to wait for a table on the windows facing the city view and NOT the lake view. The lake view is just pitch black at night so you don’t see much at all.

96 floors up? Yes please! This place was amazing with spectacular views all around. Staff was superior. Wonderful desserts beautiful cocktails with too much liquor 😉. Such a great thing to do amidst the chaos in downtown Chicago. Lines can be long but it is worth it! The 360 tilt is an option but it is not free like The Signature Room.

Great food and, of course, an amazing view. The Signature Room was one of the highlights of my trip to Chicago. The steak was amazing and worth the trip by itself. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Appetizers/desserts were 4. Entrees were 5. Their system was down and many people like us had to wait at the entrance. We got the table after 45-50 min of our original reservation. If they didnt arrange table and let some people, who arrived after us, sit before us l would be happier :)

Amazing food, staff and view. This place was a perfect choice for an anniversary dinner. Went at 7:30 pm so we saw Chicago in light and after dark. Eric was an excellent waiter. Would be a 5 star at ground level but that view... tremendous!

The view is great and that’s much of what you’re paying for with their brunch menu. Food was good but average for the price. Hot entrees were well prepared and nicely presented and having the buffet was a good bonus. Staff was friendly and attentive but not obtrusive.

Celebrated two birthdays at the wonderful Sunday brunch....The view was wonderful; the food was scrumptious and displayed beautifully. The selections and portions were suited for every taste and delicious. Our waitress was a delight and definitely added to the experience. We're all looking forward to going back there....

Celebrating my Mom's 95th Birthday in the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Building. Signature Room employee were so friendly saying a Happy Birthday. We had fresh flowers on the table, beautiful so delicious Birthday cake.... our meal was so delicious no words can describe. Our window table over looking the city was breathtaking. Thank You to everyone at the Signature Room for making my Mom's 95th Birthday a beautiful memory.

Pricey drinks, but worth the amazing view! The ladies room on the 96th floor is particularly impressive!

Came here two years ago for the first time had my first date here with my current girlfriend. Atmosphere, view, food everything with it was amazing and a fun experience. Though I got food poising which wasn’t good and than I had this waitress whom after I tipped her she had to greedily comment “that’s it? “We didn’t do a good job?” That was definitely unprofessional. I don’t have to give you anything. Overall the place was amazing

Absolutely incredible!! Our server and wait staff were amazing. Thomas B. and Faris so go wonderful and sweet, will request them the next time we go. Totally one their game and so nice taking pictures for all the tables. The views were incredible, but not as outstanding as the service.

We celebrated our 7th Anniversary yesterday. We enjoyed food and service and I appreciated the surprises they worked with my husband! Sadly, I got the table by the kitchen door even though my husband has requested nice table weeks before because of our special day and it’s my first time there. It was so loud and people walked in and out like crazy. We didn’t have privacy at all. I’m disappointed that we spend almost $300 for that kind of experience :(

Such a fun and cool place to eat - the food was as good as the view too! :)
