Whoa!!!! Loved it. The BBQ FLIGHT appetizer; pulled pork, Chicken, brisket w/ a nice piece of cornbread with soft butta (not just butter, haha!)
My main enter was the brisket meal! Wow. Tender, juicy and perfectly cooked and seasoned!!
The ambiance outside was great and the weather was perfect. I truly enjoyed being here. We shall return. James our waiter was great as well. He was on point with everything.
The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend the brisket and brisket nachos.
With a party of four, we were honored to have Mike as our server last night. At my request, Mike selected my entrée (without telling me what it was at my request). The competition ribs were truly terrific! My wife and I can hardly wait until our next occasion to dine at this outstanding restaurant!!
Oh my! What not to say! Everything was on point. I had the Mac and cheese with pulled pork. Portion sized were over the top.

The prime brisket burnt ends with coleslaw are a must have. Perfectly seasoned tender brisket over crunchy flavorful slaw.
Succulent! The Baby Back Ribs were awesome. I had two sides. Mac and Cheese which was very good but the Greens had a kick to them like no other. Seasoned so well .... and the hushpuppies O.M.G!
I had a few mixed drink {Long Island Ice Tea} the perfect blend it was. ChicagoQ is one of my favorite places in the gold coast area. I have been three times in the last two months and I feel that it should be more often than that. 5++++++++++++

This was the most amazing food I have had. We had the wings, mac and cheese with pulled pork and the burnt ends. All was terrific, so tasty. And don't forget about the pickles, addicting!!!!
By far the best BBQ I have ever had. The Bacon Cheddar Hushpuppies we fabulous. The cole slaw was so good and I am not really a fan of cole slaw. The MAC and Cheese was so good. The sausage was my favorite along with the baby back ribs and pulled pork. The service was fantastic

We loved the food and the atmosphere, the service although friendly could have come around more to check on us. If it would have been busy, I would have understood but it was far from that. We will go back again whenever we are in the area.

Just had a great dinner with family. The BBQ is outstanding, side dishes excellent and the chips / pickles as starters were delicious.
The service was great. The baby back ribs were excellent. I had coleslaw and mashed potatoes as my sides.

Jesus himself put his HANDS on this place. This food… listen we’ve ate here 4 times (3 take out, 1 dine-in) and let me tell you. EVERY TIME it hits. It’s usually not packed I think this is a hidden gem it is literally some of the best bbq I’ve eaten and I’m from the south. The pulled chicken 10/10, the half chicken 10/10. The salad? 10/10. The MAC n CHEESE & BRUSSELS, YUP.
A friend recommended Q as a place to check out and I want disappointed. Nice location a 30 min walk from the Chicago river. Nice covered terrace to the front and nice decor inside. It wasn't busy on a Saturday at 5pm. Food was nice and service pleasant. I sat on the terrace and there was no one else there for the majority of the meal so can't comment on atmosphere.
Chicago Q is a must-visit for any barbecue lover. I've eaten here four times now, and I've never been disappointed. Everything on the menu is delicious, from the smoked meats to the sides to the desserts.
The service is also consistently outstanding. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to help you choose the perfect meal. The drinks are also strong and well-made, and the atmosphere is always fun and lively.
If you're looking for a great barbecue restaurant in the city, I highly recommend Chicago Q. You won't be disappointed
I stopped by Chicago Q last Saturday for brunch. Simply put, the food is incredible, however the service left a bit to be desired. Didn’t get our appetizer, it ended up coming out after the meal. The food came out quickly, but then we seemed to lose our server and took about 25 minutes after eating to finally get the check.
I ordered the prime brisket skillet and it was fantastic. Meat was cooked perfectly, very tender with plenty of flavor. The BBQ sauces were fantastic as well.
The inside looked very nice and cozy, however we opted to sit out on the patio and did not regret that decision. Very comfortable and plenty of table spacing between each other.
All in all, if you’re a BBQ fan, it is absolutely worth the stop.
While I wouldn't call this a traditional barbeque place, it was very good. The homemade chips, at a reasonable price, are worth ordering several baskets of. The pulled pork, Mac and cheese and smoked corn and black bean salad were delicious. Plan to eat here soon!
Friendly service. Southern style food l. The Mac and Cheese with burnt ends was tasty. The Brisket Sandwich was packed full of meat and served with a plate of your choice of Sauces. All were delicious! Would definitely come back for dessert cuz I don't have room after a meal so hearty. Yum!
Only came here for the bar, but if their food is close to being as good as their drinks then I would definitely recommend this place. The staff are so nice and have great drink recommendations.
Cool spot with sit-down bbq - don’t expect a shack-style atmosphere here. Meats are decent, although the sweet pickles are memorable. The main critique is that the meats are a bit too dry but the sauces help with that. Mac and Cheese also is decent. Service is friendly.
If you haven’t been here your gonna love it! They have the best macaroni and cheese. I often have thoughts about it! The pulled chicken sandwich is a great pairing you can’t go wrong! Service is above and beyond I would recommend to everyone!
[My review always starts at 3 stars] Food 3 stars, Service 5 stars, Location and Atmosphere 4 stars, overall 4 stars. Chicago Q is an upscale venue featuring Chef Smith's BBQ. Maybe Chef prefers to let ingredients' flavors shine on their own, unfortunately this particular style of BBQ is not very memorable to me. Staff, space and the pop music are great though! Will keep this alternative spot in pocket when making a trip to Smoque is not possible. Thanks for the hospitality!
We tried a LOT of food! And was not disappointed AT ALL!! The shrimp and grits by far was the BEST!!!! The blackened Salmon! The mac with the ends!! Our server was great! The carrot cake great!
Everything was amazing! The food was delicious, we got the mac & cheese, the baby back ribs and the brisket sandwich. All of them super tasty , BTW you have to try the french fries. Our server was really nice and delivered a great service, and the ambiance was the perfect complement of an incredible experience! I will definitely come back and recommend it!
Chicago Q is a worthy spot in downtown Chicago. Everyone enjoyed their food. The Mac & Cheese is rich! The ribs are perfectly cooked…the meat falls off the bone! The shrimp & grits are good but needs the smokiness of the Andouille sausage, which is not present. Great atmosphere and bigger than meets the eye. I enjoy the quaintness of the bar area. The hostess & her husband make (waiter) a great pair!
Great place. Going to this restaurant was a spontaneous choice. And it was a good one. Our waiter was Brian. He took good care of us. Anthony was the manager, and he made our experience worth a return visit.
The brisket sandwich was great. My spouse had the kale salad, which she would not share. -:)
