Grand Lux Cafe - Chicago - Photo album

My absolute favorite dish is the Sunday Night Pasta!!! It is succulent! The atmosphere is amazing. I love the decor, so fun and unique! The Belgian waffle and syrup is perfection! The architecture is really cool too, very good, the detail is award winning!
This was my first and sadly my last visit to the grand lux cafe. After reading an article that this restaurant was closing, i knew i had to try. After trying the food, i was not disappointed in choosing to come here. The place itself was beautiful. The starters were delicious. Our entrees were delic
Wonderful dining experience. Great spot with good quality food prepared quickly and decent prices. The location and building is beautiful. Quality service from the moment you walk in. Do make note that their happy hour specials are only available at the bar and not at a table, and it's until 6pm. Wi

It’s a really nice location. Right on Michigan Avenue. Reminds me of cheesecake factory. I wonder who copied who. Unfortunately, the rumor has it that they are closing their doors soon so come visit while you can. Quick tip: Our waitress said Don’t get garlic chicken on the menu. Not good.
Today is the last day for this downtown Chicago location. I'm so grateful that I was able to have a final meal here. I have loved this place for years. My now husband had one of our 1st dates at G.L, and we've repeat customers. This is a sad day.
Busy, but didn't have to wait too long for two people. The restaurant was clean and the servers were all friendly and fast. I got the sandwich special, and I enjoyed the BLT, definitely one of the best BLT sandwiches I've had. The broccoli cheese soup was good, not the best, and best eaten relativel
Upon arriving the wait time was horrible and the place appeared pretty empty. But my waitress made up for it!! Tatiana was very friendly and was on point. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us every time she walked pass. She kept the kids drinks full and even took a moment
The best of our Chicago visit. Excellent location, beautiful art decoration. Food is exquisite with a good variety of entrees at reasonable prices. The salads are well prepared and like the mushroom soup. Been here twice and will gladly return. Attentive and friendly service. Thanks to Bartender Ch
I hate that this restaurant location is closing soon. My first time visiting this restaurant has become my last. However, it was a great experience, and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to experience the high quality food, service, and atmosphere. The private room experience was top tier.

Great atmosphere the dining area was fantastic! The food was great! They did forget our rolls but that was ok. It was pretty packed we were told to wait about 30 mins. We waited about 20-25 minutes and we sat at the bar. The bar service was ok but the bartender was rude, and busy. I had to pay for m
We arrived right when they opened on a Monday, to our surprise it wasn't busy at all. The restaurant is on the second floor off Michigan Ave, and it's massive. We were a little disappointed we couldn't order off the brunch menu since it's only offered on the weekend, but there were so many other opt
Great lunch spot. Service and food were good. We got the Chicken Royale and was delicious. It’s a great location. We had a booth by the window overlooking Michigan Ave and enjoyed the people-watching. Only negative was one of the booth seats was significantly ripped and sticking up so not very comfo
We went for dessert! The key lime pie was amazing. The profiterole was not how I had imagined it, but it was OK! Both were huge portions, and the cafe itself had a very good atmosphere!

Our server, Mia, was friendly. and attentive. The Spring Rolls appetizer was awesome. The three of us ordered salads which were freshly prepared and the taste was amazing (i.e., Asian Salad, Grand Cobb Salad, Southwestern Salad). We also ordered the chocolate pecan cookies, seems smaller than when o
