Outstanding staff and a very tasty, dynamic menu. The prime Burger is worth it's weight in gold! Keep it up Burger bar!

Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars is an idiot. All burgers are delicious, beer is cold, and the Mac and cheese is to die for. Friendly wait staff and a lively atmosphere made us come back three times in a weekend.
Went there on a whim after going to the Shedd Aquarium with my daughter, and I was not disappointed at all. Amazing burgers that came out lightening fast, and we had an awesome server. Jorge, thank you so much for the cherry on the perfect day out with my daughter!
Great neighborhood spot! The rotating beers keep us surprised and excited. As mug club members, we love trying new brews. The burgers are phenomenal, as are the wings, house-made potato chips, fried pickles, humus, salads and milk shakes - what's not to love? Great choices for meat lovers and vegetarians. Oh, and the bacon lollipops - OMG... And the staff is always amazing!!

Nice bar and restaurant, enjoyed my stay at michigan avenue. Best burger. My girlfriend even took a Burger Bar hoody back to Germany. Sad, that the delicious burgers and beers are half the world away.

Outstanding food. Service is great. Paul is a gentleman and great barkeep. Fantastic addition to the neighborhood. Only bar in town (that I am aware of) that has USB plugs under each seat to charge your phone!

Burger Bar and Ale Syndicate have a great collaboration red ale beer, Red1837. Only 4 bucks.
Been here twice now and both times I've had easily the best burger I've ever had. The Firehouse stacker is incredible! If you can handle spice do yourself a favor and also ask for fresh jalapeños on the burger
We walked to the Burger Bar from the Shedd Aquarium. Great food! Great service and the atmosphere was nice too! This bar is located in a very nice part of the city. We were able to walk back to Union Station from here.
Pretty good burger spot; kind of pricey for burgers, but I’d imagine it would be a cool spot to catch a Bears game. Our server was really friendly and attentive. I did the Bison build-a-burger, and it was pretty good. They also have gluten free buns, for anyone who needs a gf menu.
We had a great family get together here last night. Service was fantastic, efficient, attentive and without hawking over us, all the Burgers and fries were fantastic. The Kids Sliders and chicken fingers were great. Nice sized portions. Definitely be back.

The food was very good, but not excellent. The deviled eggs were a highlight. While I very much enjoyed the food, it was not with the price at some $50/person for lunch.
The atmosphere was decent except for the loud, low quality sound system blasting a strange mix of different genres of music.
The service was excellent and our waitress was attentive and accommodating.
I was blown away by the food! I was surprised that it wasn't at the top of dinner recommendations. I ordered the chicago bbq wings, smoked French dip stacker, and hot & Smokey stacker. The burgers were huge & did not disappoint. If you love a good bloody mary, they got it. The manager was so friendly and made us feel so welcomed to Chicago! Go there!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Burger Bar on Michigan Ave. The impossible burger was cooked to perfection, and the margarita was delicious. I was impressed by the service, and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. I would highly recommend Burger Bar to anyone looking for a delicious burger and a great margarita.
I ordered the impossible burger with a side of truffle fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the fries were crispy and delicious. The margarita was made with fresh lime juice and tequila, and it was the perfect combination of tart and refreshing.
The service was excellent. My server, Cassie, was extremely friendly and attentive, and she made sure that I had everything I needed. I was able to get my food and drinks quickly, and I never had to wait long for anything.
The atmosphere at Burger Bar is casual and relaxed. The restaurant is located in a converted warehouse, and the exposed brick and industrial décor give it a unique feel. I felt comfortable dining alone, and I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a casual meal.
This was amazing 🤩! I and my companions mostly forewent the bread and it was still so much to eat! The truffle fries were deliciously crispy. Only detraction was that they sat another group of four right next to us when we were the only ones in our area. It just crowded unnecessarily but luckily, they were swell folks!
Food was delicious, wings were very good great flavor of the month. Personally I prefer a crispy wing over a grilled wing but the flavor was fantastic. Service was fantastic and so was the atmosphere.

I came to the Burger Bar with a large party after a graduation ceremony. They were very accommodating and got us seated right away. Our server was friendly and helpful. I got the shrimp burger because I wanted to try something new. It was pretty good, I’m glad I went out on a limb and tried it. Also, had some of the wings for an appetizer. They were a good size and had great flavor!
The only issue we had was the cook of the burgers. The server did not ask how folks would like their burgers cooked and most of them came out medium/medium well. Despite saying something about this when the first round of food came out, the second round of burgers were still undercooked to our liking. This issue can easily be fixed and it wasn’t the end of the world.
The food here is pretty good and it’s a nice atmosphere. The server kindly let us know that they couldn’t split checks ahead of time which was much appreciated. Besides the issues with our burgers, we had a good experience. I would definitely come back here!

The boys and I enjoyed our burgers here. Large portions. My sons also had ginormous holiday shakes. We started with chips and queso which were tasty. I had the burger of the month which was the surf and turf. I'm normally a big fan of surf and turf at steakhouses but I don't think it works well on a burger. Difficult to separate the flavor of the surf and turf on a burger. Food was good though as was the service. Atmosphere is okay but just looks like a bar. Not much unique about it. Recommended.
Super friendly staff and fantastic food.
Our burgers were absolutely fantastic. They were all cooked to temp (medium, as requested), full of flavor, and priced right. Two of us ordered poutine and we both agreed - it could use some work. It was passable but lacked flavor, especially the gravy. Our only disappointment was that my friend's Long Island Iced Tea was a mix with way too much ice. At least let your customers know it's a mix when they order, especially at your price point.
I recommend giving this place a try especially if you're in the mood for burgers.
Delicious patty melt and a good strong drink 😋 I really appreciate it that the bartender and waiter gave us a heads up that they were understaffed and things would take a bit longer. Honestly we had great company with us and because they kept us updated it didn't feel long at all. Brought a vegan friend as well and she enjoyed the impossible burger, all in all not a bad downtown burger spot.
So yummy!! Our server Addison was really sweet. 💙

We visited Chicago from our of town and this place was close to our hotel and had good reviews. They fit us in without a reservation and we were very glad they did. We got build your own burgers that were both really delicious. The urban sauce was a spicey honey mustard sauce that came with the fried pickles appetizer and was so good I also got it on my burger. The parmesan truffle fries were so freaking good, and so was the mac and cheese my partner ordered.
We had a couple drinks that were quite good as well. And while overall our service was great, we did notice that the wait staff seemed to stand around the bar for long periods of time. It wasn't until we ordered a cider and their lemon peach drink that we realized it was because they were all waiting on the bartenders. They may have been extremely busy, so I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but they sent my partner's cider prior to our food arriving and not the lemon peach drink that was mine. My drink didn't come until after I'd eaten my whole dinner.
Otherwise, everything was so good and hopefully we'll be able to visit the next time we're in Chicago!
