I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lou Malnati's, a Chicago institution known for its deep dish pizza. I ordered both the deep dish classic and the thin crust, and both were excellent, but the thin crust was my favorite.

Good place but one minus - they did not warn you about calories, volume and fat content of dishes. This pizza was too bid for our family and we even could not finish one pieces each. It was too fat for us. That was just for experience with famous type of Chicago pizza.

I liked the Giordano's deep dish more than this one. The crust was a bit more crunchy and the stuffing seemed smaller so it felt less 'deep dish' like.
Price however was similar-ish for both of these places.

Bustling pizza joint. Felt like one of the locals. First ever deep dish and it did not disappoint. Wait staff was excellent, quick and attentive. We each had a salad, sangria and shared a small pizza and it was more than enough food! Definitely recommend.

I got the Lou deep dish pizza and the server told me to add Pepperoni, and its insanely good! I cannot recommend that pizza enough! Personal size is the right amount for 1 person whos hungry, and can be completely full off of!
My go to place for deep dish pizza when in Chicago. The food never disappoints. The perfect combination of delicious sauce and cheese and the crispy crust make a perfect pizza for any pizza lover.
