I finally made it here over the weekend after missing out the last time I was in Chicago and oh boy, I love Bang Bang!! I got a slice of pie to go which was amazing and decided to go back to meet a friend there. The menu is very well constructed and the options on offer are super creative and appealing. I’ve heard that this place is always busy and I can definitely see why. My friend got the chicken pot pie and said it was great and the key lime was to-die-for :-)
This place is really charming (and smells incredible) and the staff were awesome - shout out to Trevor for being an absolute legend and the Neo-Futurists (something else you check out if you’re ever in Chicago!)

I have eaten here twice and was very pleased both times. Service was prompt and friendly, place has lots of dark wood.

Got the Italian beef sandwich. Beef cooked well and tender with side of au jus and hot gardinera. Roll was nice and held up to the beef. Came with house made chips. I will be back!

Every time I eat their pies I get a new taste treat. You know how some places you go back to the same dish visit after visit? Don't get caught in the rut here. Each time I've been I've tried something else and am never disappointed. But my favorite are the crisps and crumbles which I could eat all day. Try them all trade with your friends.

Biscuits are one of my all-time favorite foods so when I came across Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits on a list of top breakfast spots, I knew we had to go there while we were in Chicago. . Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits is located in Logan Square, a neighborhood northwest of the city. It is one of the most charming restaurants I have ever been to. Seating is limited and on a first come first serve basis. They do have picnic tables outside but luckily we were able to snag an inside table since it had been raining earlier and the outdoor seating was drenched.

It's been a long time coming as we've tried to get downtown to try this for months. It was worth it!!!! Our first 5 rating. Cute place that is very cozy with old brick walls & big open windows. Staff super friendly & helpful.

We decided one sweet & one savory - so the more seasonal apple crisp and a sausage biscuit with egg. I believe desserts are the best place to start - always. The apples were cooked to perfection with a slight bite. I think a hint of rosewater ,and the crumble was extra crunchy without being overcooked.

The sausage - ahhhh the sausage. Some of the best seasoned sausage we've ever tasted with a spicy undertone. True confession - this southern girl loves biscuits and Popeyes is a guilty pleasure. The biscuits at bang bang would rival any southern kitchen. The biscuit center was moist & tender with a browned top - simply outstanding.

We will be back to try the other dozen plus offerings!!!

Love pie! Love bang bang pie's pie! They have a perfect mix of chocolate, fruity, and tart flavor pies. The back patio is awesome too. Love different door wall design. Plus.

This is the first (and perhaps the last) 5.0 I've ever given, so let me tell you why:

So yeah, the line is long... especially if you visit during peak hours on a weekend, which is precisely what we did. The Food Network was even filming an episode of "Sinful Sweets" that day (read: Chicago destination). However, these biscuit/pie gods have their system DOWN. The line goes surprisingly quick and their staff is as friendly as can be!

There's limited seating inside, but come here on a nice day and take advantage of their picnic-inspired back patio. It's one of the best in town.

We ordered an avocado biscuit + egg, biscuit & [vegetarian] gravy, cheese grits & a slice of raspberry/pear crumble pie. Those little paper bowls are deceiving... so much food! Both biscuits made me want to cry tears of glutton glee, and that pie...um, what? Raspberry and pear together with a CRUMBLE!? Just stop. OH, don't forget to grab an iced coffee - it's 'on draft' and perfect.

What to skip? The cheese grits... maybe I'm too judgmental as a Southerner, but they needed more cheese and seasoning. I'm willing to try their decked out grits, however. I have a feeling I'll be stuffing my face again very, very soon.

There are a few things that I can say I love with complete confidence. Pie and biscuits are on that list right below my wife Sam. What’s better than just regular pie and biscuits though? Eating them on a sweet patio. It just so happens that Bang Bang Pie Shop combines all these things in one space and they do it really well.

You may have seen Bang Bang’s pies on some dessert menus across the city. Unfortunately I can’t remember exactly where for the life of me, but I’ve always been way too full to take advantage. That led Sam and I here on an early Sunday afternoon. Once we stepped inside we were greeted by smells of peach cobbler and we knew we were in the right place. I ended up getting the sausage biscuit with an egg. Sam got the grits and we split the candied bacon and a slice of honey pie. There were so many good options though. I was so close to getting the pecan, but I have a feeling there will be a next time.

After ordering, seeing the patio or rather the Pie Garden, is pretty neat. Luckily for us it was a drizzly morning so it wasn’t nearly as crowded as it could have been. It’s a cool spot and it stacks up to patios like Honey Butter Fried Chicken and Parsons. A bit of effort went into the country theme with some old doors lining the fence along California.

As far as the food, the sausage biscuit was well worth it. I’d definitely recommend adding the egg on top. Breaking the yolk and letting it run adds that extra dimension, not to mention it makes for a good picture. It was kind of like one of those McDonald’s sausage biscuits except this one was better in every conceivable way. Sam got the grits and from what I tried I definitely liked them but the biscuit is where it’s at. And you can never go wrong with candied bacon, totally worth it getting a side of that.

All of that is good but it’s not the reason you came. You’re here for the Pie and I was pretty over the top about it. Ever have one of those moments where you eat something and it’s so good you can’t even say anything and you just kinda nod your head in approval/happiness? That was the honey pie. Like I said though, I really love pie, so I was a little biased.

Sam and I loved this place so we wouldn’t have any reservations recommending it. Did I mention we got iced tea too and the bill was about $30 before tip. Well worth it.

Line was long but understandable as there is not a lot of seating. Cozy spot that smelled amazing. Biscuits were so rich and delicious, only wish the portion was a little more for the price. Cranberry cheesecake was perfect.

We come here almost every Sunday like clockwork. We're from the south, so biscuits & gravy and grits are a really big comfort food for us, and they've nailed it. Recently, we've added the Chicago-Style home fries to the rotation, and they're delicious! Of course, you have to get a slice of pie, and there hasn't been a bad one yet. Get there early on the weekends if you want to avoid the lines and crowds, but it's still worth it regardless.

Best Pie Shop in the city! I’ve been wanting to try Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits for over 1 year now and finally made it in this weekend. I tried a biscuit and pie because, well, it’s in the name and how could I not?? Biscuits were light and fluffy with a delicious crispy top. I ordered mine with gravy, sausage, and egg which made for a complete breakfast. The pie was tangy, crumbly, and light. So many delicious flavors, summer berry colors, and textures. I should have ordered more than one slice! I arrived within an hour of opening on a Saturday morning and there was plenty of open seating both inside and out. The service was extremely fast and everyone was friendly and polite. I will be back very soon!!

Went with a few friends and tried different biscuits and pie slices. The Pacific Beach and hand pies were amazing, as were the BBQ chicken and sausage biscuits.

Banana cream pie every Wednesday is the real deal! Split the egg onto your biscuits and you’ll thank me! Everything here is made from scratch and they update the menu with every season. Please be warned that on beautiful days (good weather) that there may be a line which would lead to some menu items being 86. They have a beautiful backyard dining area but keep in mind that inside is pretty small. Dogs are allowed in the backyard. Parking is scarce so public transit, walking, or other means is recommended. The staff are just so lovely and have great recommendations when you’re stuck between 2 dishes. They always seem to have a smile, everyone is laughing and can be seen grooving to the music. All in all, a positive vibe with some amazing food. Honestly, if the food was mediocre (it isn’t! It’s so good) I would keep coming back here for the staff.

Favorite new breakfast place. I live in the south where we serve grits at any decent breakfast and let me tell you these are the best I've ever had. We got the fancy and the not-so-fancy and they're both life changing. Biscuit with pimento cheese and pepper jelly was a favorite also. Can't wait to come back and try the pie.

Honestly unsure of how I haven’t left a review until now as this is one of my favorite spots in Logan Square (and the city overall) and has been for the past four years. Super friendly staff, everything is so delicious and centered around fresh and local ingredients, and the artwork/branding is too cute! You can’t go wrong with any of the biscuits, grits, or pies you order! My go-to’s are usually the Farmer’s Biscuit or Bacon Biscuit but all are great! Lovely outdoor pie garden patio and a nice (yet smaller) interior which has a handful of tables and seats. Pro tip - go during the week to avoid the longer wait/lines!

Blueberry apricot pie was amazing, not too sweet. We got the sausage egg and bbq chicken biscuits which were good but I’d go back to try the quiche and more pie. Coffee wasn’t great but that’s not what you’re there for. Loved the patio and enjoyable even in a little rain since they have many umbrellas. Dogs are welcome too!

So grateful my boyfriend introduced me to this specific bang bang pie because not only is the decor and patio incredible, the staff were also super friendly, and food was so amazing! I recommend the chicken pot pie. It may look small but it is mighty! I was so full after one pie, i struggled getting through a biscuit (which is also amazingly good plain). Their butter is a fan favorite of mine because of a slight sweetness and perfect texture. All around wonderful place, will be frequenting it!
