Very good breakfast with friendly staff & super crowded vibes however still very chilling feel. I enjoy the sunshine, sitting against the glass window with very nice few of the street park. It's totally gives me the Sunday vibe during dining. The 2 eggs style plate is very good, along with the dry grapes and sweet jelly & freshly made coffee. Can't complain any of the details but hey, enjoy!
One of the most popular and busy brunch places in the River North area it seems. Even on a weekday the restaurant was packed. The food here was excellent and highly recommend for brunch if you are able to get a seat.
Food
I got one of the sandwiches with hash browns in the side and it was very good. The bread was perfectly toasted and had those stripes showing that it was toasted. The bacon was a nice thickness and was not dry. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The meat in the sandwich was delicious as well.
Atmosphere
There are many many tables to seat everyone but still so busy. Nothing too fancy about the inside and plenty of light coming in from the windows. The noise can be pretty loud from all the people inside. Very casual inside.
Pricing
Prices were average for brunch surprisingly and the food was worth it.
Service
Service was okay and the staff was nice. Despite how busy they were we still got checked on.

We stumbled upon this place for breakfast on our first day in Chicago and we are so glad we did! Make sure to come hungry! The food is sensational. I had the mixed berry pancakes which were so tasty and so fresh! I love that they had the option for gluten-free, so I felt full and fantastic all day long. The coffee was absolutely fantastic. Not like your normal diner/restaurant coffee. This was artisan barista level work. Delish!
Went multiple times in only few days.
Perfect place for breakfast. The range of choice is wide and the quality is very good.
Great service and staff super available and friendly.
Hint: go early in the morning, by 10 the restaurant will be packed and u might ask to wait 1 hour to sit.
Still is very worthy...😋🤤
BEST BREAKFAST IN CHICAGO!
There are a lot of menu options. Don’t skip getting some pancakes even as a side. One of the few restaurants that serve poached eggs that are not served swimming in water. The quality of the food was excellent. I went twice during my short stay. Service is excellent! Highly recommend!
Great location right off MAG. Waited to be seated just a short time. Friendly and fast service! Delicious food. Espanola omelette and the Barbacoa Chilaquiles skillet were two thumbs up. But definitely spicy! Of course, the pancakes! Kids meal - one egg meal was generous!
This place is pretty good! Pancakes are the best dish here. We order the two eggs any style and they were really basic, we don’t recommend them. Definitely try the strawberry pancakes, they’re really fluffy and tasty.
We also had hazelnut coffe, honey nut latte and lavender matcha and we loved them!!
Like the name says, they do great pancakes and great coffee! The service is fast and efficient, a great place to go if you want to get your day started quickly and get on with touring.
They have a great selection of foods and everything was delicious. The prices are a little steep (~$20 per plate, $5/coffee) and there is a 3% service charge on food (common in Chicago) + a 20% included gratuity + the suggestion of a 3-7% additional tip... So the bill adds up fast.
Great food though!
I visited this place for weekend lunch and had to wait about 30 minutes before being seated. Despite being busy, the servers were attentive and kind. This restaurant is a great spot to enjoy pancakes, skillets, and coffee. The ingredients were fresh and well-prepared. However, the portions were generous; some might find it challenging to finish a dish on their own, so consider ordering accordingly. Thank you for a delightful meal :)
My order- Banana pecan waffles, garden skillet, wild berry and orange fresh juice, iced latte..
Extremely busy, waited 40 mins to be seated when estimated wait time was 20-30 mins. Large portions. Good coffee. I would suggest going earlier than you intend to. I visited this place because of its popularity. Hats off to servers who are able to handle guests so well! Over all a good experience, I would recommend!
A bit overrated though.
I recently dined at Wildberry Pancakes & Cafe in Chicago, and I have to say, the food was absolutely amazing!
I ordered the Slow Roast Brisket Hash, and it was a burst of flavors, absolutely delicious, and incredibly fulfilling. My husband opted for the Fried Chicken and Biscuits and he couldn't stop raving about it.
We both enjoyed lattes - a sugar-free caramel latte for me and a maple spice latte for him. They were hands down some of the best lattes we've ever had.
However, when it came to the kids' plates, it was a bit hit or miss. My daughters ordered the chicken tenders plate, and while the chicken wasn't great, the fries that came with it were good. The French toast kids meal was on the smaller side, leaving my 7-year-old daughter wanting more, but she did enjoy it.
The timing of our visit was perfect as we arrived just before it got busy (around 8am). However, the only downside was our waitress who didn't seem very welcoming and appeared somewhat annoyed to serve us. That was a bit of a downer.
Overall, despite the minor hiccups, the exceptional food and great latte experience make me want to visit Wildberry Pancakes & Cafe again and again. 😊🍽️
Nice pancake place. By Default you get 5 pancakes in a dish. Each pancake quite big so go with pancake side dish which comes with 2 pancakes enough for 1 adult. Tried Cinnamon Pancake. Taste was good and add in syrup was not required at all. Also ordered side of hash brown which okay in taste (quantity was too much and can be shared by 2 adults easily).
Come hungry...
Decent portions and tasty food. Friendly staff and convenient location. Prices are comparative for the area, most of the menu is around $18-20.
Tried the BlackBerry Key Lime Pie pancakes and they didn't disappoint. Light on the key lime flavor, but does have Graham crust pieces tossed in.
Worth a visit while in town.
This place is known for brunch and we came lunch time on a Sunday so the wait was kinda long. But its worth the wait, food was delicious, my chai latte was great, service is great as well.
Nothing fancy about the service or the aesthetics. When we arrived they took us to sit upstairs next to the bathroom. Made no sense when there was plenty of seating downstairs but we went with it.
Now the food!!! 100% on point! Worth coming to! They serve a real good portion and everything is good.
Everything was so good and we left stuff!!
Out looking for breakfast & ran into this spot. I believe it's on the campus of Northwestern, it's close by. Portions are larger than average, my daughter's split the Creamy Nutella w/ bananas & strawberries. My wife had the Brioche French Toast, I had the Slow Roast Brisket Hash, which was different, that's why I chose it. It was ok...if like pot roast for breakfast. When we travel back to Chicago...we'll return 💯
Quick wait for a table and attentive service. Loved that the iced coffee was served in a to go cup in case it wasn't finished. Food was excellent. My SO and I split the specialty berry waffle and each got a savory entree. There was more than enough food and everything was fantastic. I'd definitely go again.
