Must eat! Incredible atmosphere, friendly service and most importantly, impeccable food not elsewhere found. The selections are uncommon and the tapas style is ideal to try multiple dishes. If your tastebuds are tired of the basic dishes seen at all restaurants, this is the place for you!

We were a group of eightšŸ¤“ we ordered family style of everything in the menu. What we all liked about the dishes was that the chef was very bold in spices choice. Every single dish (no exception) was very flavorful and dense with spices. I will certainly bring my adult children and come back here. Iā€™m from California. I heard that this restaurant has a location in Los Angeles. If so, Iā€™m certainly going there soon with my family. Itā€™s worth every penny, dollar, and hundreds of dollarsā™„ļøšŸ„° the kitchen was buzzing. The waiter knew her dishes and ingredients. We got a free dish. It was such an amazing experience. Made a reservation that day for a late dinner and wow it was the best meal my husband and I had in Chicago. Our waiter suggested an amazing bottle of wine and we ordered a bunch of things, it was incredible. We went in the summer so we sat in the outdoor section and the atmosphere was perfect. Only took 2 pics because I forgot and ate it so fast! Thank you for the amazing meal!

I had an absolutely lovely birthday dinner at Girl and the Goat. Everyone was so kind and attentive. Our water glasses were kept full.m and clean plates were brought out several times. Our food was so delicious- so many layers of flavor and unique. We had the naan and dips which was huge as well as the chick pea fritters, wood fired broccoli and crispy pork belly. The broccoli was the surprise. There was mint lemongrass ( I think) along with the labneh. So unique but so delicious. Absolutely recommend

We went to The Girl and The Goat last night and it was one of my most favorite meals in Chicago ever. Ever. We had the old fashioned, crudo, green beans, goat belly and pig face. Iā€™m tempted to go back tonight. And tomorrow night.

Thereā€™s a reason Girl & The Goat is one of the most popular restaurants in Chicago and Iā€™m glad I finally got to try this famous spot. Reservations go quickly but I was able to get one for a week night for dinner. Dishes are served family style and come out as theyā€™re ready so order a few items off the menu and enjoy. Our waitress recommended 4-5 dishes for two people so we picked some of the items weā€™ve been excited to try for a while. The chickpea fritters were unique and had an unexpectedly delicious flavor combining all the different textures and ingredients. The goat empanadas amazing and the pig face was very umami and bold almost like a pig belly. Our favorite dish of the night though was the pork shank for sure. All the different pieces of the dish really made it stand out. Service is on point here and everyone is friendly. Glad I finally visited!

Gary was fantastic taking care of us and giving us suggestions. The roasted beets were great to start off with followed by the grilled prime skirt steak. The sautĆ©ed calamari was tender and so flavorful. The Manhattan was amazing, go for that over the old fashioned if youā€™re trying to decide between the two. Great atmosphere too!

A masterclass in casual modern fusion dining. My friend and I came here for an early dinner on a Sunday, and the place was still bustling.Ā  Iā€™m usually not a huge fan of goat dishes due to its distinct aroma and taste of the meat. However, the restaurant's signature offerings of goat empanadas and confit goat belly were amazing. Both dishes were bereft of any overpowering smell often associated with goat meat. The confit belly, with its delectable pairing of stone fruit agrodolce and goat crema, was particularly standout. Between the two of us, we shared 4 plates, and the portion was perfect. Our favorites were the roasted pig face and the wood fired branzino. Roasted pig face, with its crispy potato stix, eggs, and an innovative tamarind and red wine-maple blend, felt like a gourmet rendition of a comforting hash. Similarly, the Wood-fired branzino boasted a complicated flavor profile. The fish's inherent saltiness balanced beautifully with the sweet n' sour sauce, mung bean-pickled mango salad, and the crunch of stone fruits. Overall, Girl & The Goat truly lived up to its hype. Its masterful play with sweet and savory flavors stood out in the dishes we tried, and the service was also some of the best weā€™ve experience in Chicago. Highly recommend giving them a try, but make sure to make a reservation in advance.

First time visit to this restaurant did not disappoint! We went on a Monday.... is a great way to see how things are on off nights, and everything was fantastic. Dinner started with signature cocktails, which were well crafted and not minuscule (as has become the trend), chickpea fritters which were very tasty. Our entrees steak and salmon were pristine. Overall, a great experience, beautifully prepared food delivered in a classic setting with excellent service.

Anyone can cook, but not everyone can be a chef. Preparing and serving special meals is an art that requires a chef's skill. Girl&The Goat is a special restaurant where successful chefs offer special tastes. However, I will share a few negative observations that I have left. The place is not a great place as many reviewers have written. It's overcrowded, the tables are so cramped and almost side by side, you can't understand what the person next to you is saying because of the noise and hum. The sauces, side dishes or salads placed on the meat in the main meat dishes were exaggerated enough to prevent you from getting the real taste of the meat. Additionaly, being nice and special shouldn't require a very expensive sale. Prices could have been a little more reasonable. If you give more importance to your taste than your wallet, try this place, of course, with a reservation well in advance.

My wife and I tried girl in the goat for the first time to celebrate our 4th year wedding anniversary. Overall, food was great, but the place was super crowded and noisy. We were practically rubbing shoulders with the next table and had to shout to be heard even from across the table. If youā€™re on a first date, might be hard to talk and get to know your date, but maybe in this social media generation, you can just message them. Ambience was not bad. Not too dark that I felt like Batman, but not so bright that I felt like I was being interrogated. The entitled-side of me was hoping for some kind of service for our wedding anniversary from the restaurant, but alas, nothing. Sad day. Would definitely still return for the high quality food. Food rating: 1. SautĆ©ed Green Beans šŸ˜ too salty. 2. Chickpeas fritters šŸ˜„ so delicious. 3. Sticky glazed pork shank šŸ¤¤ so tender. 4. Crispy pork belly šŸ„¹ amazing. Must get. 5. Roasted pig face šŸ™‚ flavorful and rich. 6. Goat empanadas šŸ˜ great flavor.

The food was DELICIOUS!!!! Steak was my favorite, got it medium rare and highly recommend! Was taken for my birthday and they gave me a nice little desert with a candle šŸŽ‚ would definitely come back!

Really great dinning experience. Had the flat steak, chicken skewers, asparagus salad, and foccacia bread. All were very tasty. Waitress was attentive. While there was big gaps of time in between courses, we didn't mind. Probably not the right place for a quick bite to eat. I'd definitely come back.

Absolutely fantastic chef's specialty restaurant by one of the winners of the iron chef TV show. We loved all the food that we got including the lamb pierogi, baked green beans, shrimp and arugula salad, and scallops!. Great service and great rustic atmosphere in the heart of the Fulton market district of the West loop.

Great restaurant in Fulton Market! Cool, slightly experimental sharing plates with wonderful service and atmosphere. The winners of the night were the deliciously smooth Chickpea Fritters and the Braised Lamb. Everything was great, though! The Goat Belly was one of the most flavorful pieces of meat Iā€™ve ever had, but for $23, I expect a little bigger of a portion. It was comically small. We were celebrating a birthday so we got a scoop of chocolate ice cream with toasted quinoa, which worked surprisingly well!

Simply a wonderful experience. From the food to the atmosphere we enjoyed every moment there. The food is brought out as shareables but is sufficiently portioned to be shared between a couple people.
