Reviews Odd Duck

My wife and I like trying different flavors from our local Independently owned establishments and we stumbled across the Odd Duck while driving to another restaurant we had found on line for our Date night.. After having read that establishment's menu, we opted to try something different and remembered driving pass the Odd Duck and drove back and, as soon as we walked in, we knew we had made the right choice. Long story short, the atmosphere was a Bar/Bistro style, with a very nice bar, quaint seating areas and a small but quaint outdoor deck to the rear which we dined on. The service, the presentation of the Food, the portions, and the deliciousness of the meals were impeccable and would rate in a 4.5 to 5 category, at least in our opinion. All of that at a Diner's price range. Talk about value for one's money! The owner and her son were waiting tables and we were pleased to have made their acquaintance, in fact Joey was our waiter and what an attentive one he was. They were both very personable as the other staff appeared to be as well. I do believe we may have found our go to place for Date Nights.

Best meal by far during our two weeks in the Lake George area. Turned out the best meal was once again five minutes from our camp. While the menu is limited, execution was perfect!!! Very nice staff and owner was truly awesome. Third time there. We will return!!!

We both selected and thoroughly enjoyed the lobster and shrimp special, served in a delicate lemon piccata sauce. It was one of the best dinners we’ve had in this area. We will be back.

Fun new concept for Chestertown with several duck items on the menu. Everything I've tasted was very good. I will be back.

Excellent food and exceptional service! Our server (Julia) and her assistant (Joe ) concentrated on great service, explained the menu, the family history, etc. This may become a regular stop for me driving down from Plattsburgh!

We went for the first time this past Saturday after being vacant for a couple of years. I have to say Food and service was excellent. We both had the duck panini for entrees, along with the Brunswick Stew and Seafood gumbo for appetizers. Would definitely return.

Phenomenal dinner last night ... kudos to Chef Jaime & staff ! I had the Seafood Bowl- YUM, hubs had the Classic Burger he said was juicy & cooked to perfection - we had the brownie sundae too. They have a large , beautiful bar too- SUPER friendly & welcoming service all around. Had a nice Cabernet (w/ the word DUCK in it) ...very good. Our server Joe was awesome! EVERYONE chips in for friendly & efficient service. The menu ranges from classic casual to inventive, artful dishes like the Ahi Tuna. Can't wait to go back to try dishes I had "food envy" for that I saw served to others- like the HUGE plate of calamari and that amazing looking Ahi. This is a GEM in the Adirondacks that will serve both locals & vacationers alike...travelers passing through driving to or from any another destination - plus people like us that drove an hour from home in Clifton Park for a scenic ride in the gorgeous Adirondacks. We will DEFINITELY be back, and we highly recommend.

Very good food with wonderful plating. Variety of dishes within the style of cuisine made it very difficult to choose because so many sounded great, sooo definitely will go back if possible to try more! The staff were friendly and informative, and the wait for food was short.

Attentive, friendly staff. Delicious food. Generous portions. Melt in your mouth short ribs. Huge pulled pork sandwich with option of coleslaw or French fries Lovely presentation. Fun “plates - galvanized trays with paper liner or oblong ceramic plates. 5 indoor tables in dining room. High tops and bar area available to wait. Outdoor seating available. Casual setting is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Open Tuesday - Saturday 4-8

Spent the weekend at Adirondack to get a break from NYC’s hustle & bustle, and found this pleasant restaurant. Loved the service, fried duck, and their wines. 🍷

Always enjoy coming here when we don't feel like making dinner or want a "fancy" night after a day on the boat. Ahi salad is delicious, calamari is a meal on its own, and both my dad and boyfriend love the short ribs.

4 1/2 stars, erring on the higher side. Another Chestertown gem. Inside, not a very big place but done really well - nice woods, simple and comfortable dining room. Very clean. Barroom has tables and high tops. Staff is really friendly and efficient. Interesting mix of customers - young women for cocktails, a table of senior ladies, scattered ages of men. THE FOOD. Really good. The menu is varied with entrees and full meals, along with the usual burgers, pulled pork, sandwiches kind of bar fare. There are several duck options (hence: the name). Good selection of wines and beers. I had the pulled pork. Was juuuust slightly overcooked (the half of a star). But it was very tasty, served piping on, and came on an excellent warm bun with a nice slaw. By nice bun, I mean one that didn't get soggy and fall apart half way through. Might sound ridiculous to you, but to a pulled pork fanatic . . . This was a really nice surprise. I didn't know what to expect from the outside - dingy tiny town bar maybe? It was anything but

Although restaurant seating is limited, service was friendly and efficient. My burger was delicious and the rib dinner looked very good when served to a nearby table. Bar looked capable of responding to every thirst!

The Odd Duck is hands down my favorite restaurant! I LOVE the pulled pork sandwich and my husband's favorite is the veal parm. We always order the duck wings to start. The staff and chef are awesome!
