Comforting food in Chester CA! We stayed in Chester while visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park, and ate dinner at Happy Garden both nights! It looks like a family run place and the food and service was good. They made Kung pao vegetables even though it wasn’t on their menu and it was delicious!
Living in the Bay area, we are used to good Chinese foods, including those in Chinatown. We are happily surprised to find the dishes in remote Chester delicious, each with ample quantity, and a large selections on the menu. Service was quick and pleasant. What a nice find!!
Had the lunch special that was very good value for money. Took half in a box back with me for later. Customer service was excellent and the food came out fast and hot! The place is very cosy and inviting too!
I literally crave their delicious food. It is sooooo good! Staff us always super fast and very kind! My favorite restaurant in town!
Stopped here after a trip to Lassen national park and it was just what we needed. The woman working was so kind and the food was awesome!
Have come here for dinner twice now and the food is just incredible. The dinner deal is priced like NO OTHER and every dish has been so so so so good. Incredibly well priced, the portions are big. Nothing we have tried has been bad. Interior is decorated so lovely and the staff r great. Come.

Besides the beef chow mein I also had the hot and sour soup, which was excellent. I try to stop here every time I'm in Chester. This time I had to get my meal to go. Usually I dine in. It's one of my favorite restaurants for Chinese food.
Simply outstanding Chinese food! I stop in once a week for lunch now!! It blows my mind to find the exceptional quality of authentic Chinese food in such a small town like Chester! It is a must try if your passing through!!
Awesome food, loved the chive cakes, my shrimp 'n snowpeas were yummy, Hubs ordered a very spicy pork dish, he was happy with.
