The Sweet Spot is Chester's famous little bakery. Cheryl the owner was a winner on Cup Cake Wars and for good reason too. Her cakes are phenomenal! My wife and I used her for our wedding cake and it turned out spectacular! The prices are reasonable and the service is great. We love our little Sweet Spot on Main Street and look forward to our next visit real soon.
Love this bakery, I had a delicious birthday cupcake today! Banana with cream cheese frosting and caramel drizzle on top. You’re never disappointed here the staff is always upbeat very sweet and friendly just like they’re delicious cupcakes. I drive pretty far for one of these delectable cupcakes . It is so worth the trip. I even got one to go LOL I have been going here since they opened and I absolutely love this establishment! Thank you everyone at the sweet spot for making my birthday special every year!
This is my first time writing a review. I don’t think we could have been more pleased with our cake. I designed a cake that I wanted specifically and I had the pleasure to have Cheryl-the owner- bring my cake to life . It was so much better than I even expected and the price was not pricey at all. Not only was it stunning to look at, but it was absolutely delicious. You could really tell there are no added preservatives, it tastes very homemade. The staff are so nice as well. If I could give it more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Getting all our cakes here from now on!!
We love their cupcakes so much, we drive 30 mins on a Sunday afternoon hoping they'll still have something to sell to us. They never fail and even put fresh icing of your choice on top of something if your favourite icing isn't out front. I got a sweet spot for the sweet spot. Okay, that was cheesy, but it's a great place!

We absolutely LOVED our wedding cake! As a celiac, it was an extra special treat to have an entirely gluten-free cake that was so delicious! The owner, Cheryl, was so accommodating and thoughtful to work with from designing the cake to contact-free delivery.
I've been to the Sweet Spot Bake Shoppe multiple times now. Every single time I'm there I try a new cupcake and every time I'm blown away. They are all perfect and delicious. My favorite is definitely the strawberry. When you bite into it the icing is like biting into a fresh strawberry on top of a perfectly fresh baked cupcake. So for those of you reading all the reviews don't listen to the few people who gave poor reviews because they are idiots and clearly do not know what a good cupcake is.
I would have stopped in here anyway but the Cupcake Wars sign really caught my eye (they won!). I always like to try more than one cupcake so buying the minis for this purpose was an fantastic option.
I ordered red velvet, coconut, blueberry and chocolate of some kind (can't remember unfortunately). They were all delicious - probably one of the best red velvet cupcakes I've had and the blueberry cupcake was a very close second! Perfect cake to icing ratio as well.

I ordered a cake over the phone for a friends bridal shower. They were so friendly and helpful. I was nervous because they had a description from me but I didn't show them anything or physically pick anything out. The day of, I saw the cake and it was beautiful! It was exactly what I wanted and it was delicious as well. I'm so thrilled and my friend was so happy with her cake too! I highly recommend.
DELISH!! As someone with a gluten sensitivity I so appreciate that Sweet Spot offers gluten free cupcakes daily (not just when you custom order) and that they are always delicious. My daughter & friends all love their non-gf items as well. Highly reccomend!
The only place I will buy my cakes from. I never liked cakes from bakeries they always looked nice but tasted not so good. Until I tried a cake from Sweet Spot Bake Shop. The cakes LOOK amazing and TASTE amazing! I buy my kids birthday cakes from them every year and recently placed order for a wedding cake. Everyone at the shoppe is so helpful and nice.
I am not a fan of anything store bought but these cupcakes are some of the very few exceptions. Fresh, delicious, creative & a staple at our holiday party every year. If you are used to store bought or prepacked you will be comparing apples to oranges. Try any other fresh-baker's cupcakes & these are a clear winner!
Pretty good, but a little too much icing. Their chocolate chip cookies? Coconut macarons? Both fantastic! I'm fortunate enough to have cupcake wars winners very close to my college in PA so I'm pretty tough on cupcakes because they spoil me. Will I go back to the Sweet Spot? Most definitely!
I purchased the variety 12 pack of mini cupcakes. My family & I thoroughly enjoyed them! Very moist & frosting was perfect! With local support we can revive Chester Main Street businesses and help them thrive. Bravo to the owner for taking such a risk at the worst economic time & picking Chester, NJ. I will be a regular! Cute place, small, but delicious cupcake. I got the s’mores which had a moist super tasty chocolate cake with a really good marshmallow buttercream icing. One of the better cupcakes I’ve had - I highly recommend.
If you want the best cupcakes in the world go to this place!!! They have so many other decadent "must have's" Cookies and cakes are out of this world. Located on Main Street in Chester.
Cupcakes are my favorite food and this is my favorite cupcake place. The cake is moist and the various frostings are always amazing. My favorite is chocolate cake with marshmello or vanilla buttercream frosting. The mint and raspberry frostings are also very good. Honestly it's all amazing!
Whenever I am in Chester I stop in for a few goodies for my family, and I always try something different. We are always delighted with them. For my Cinnamon Girl book launch party which I held in their party room (wonderful, btw), I served a fall-themed assortment of their mini-cupcakes, which were gobbled up. I am excited that they are making pies for Thanksgiving, and have pre-ordered an apple crumb pie.
Absolutely love this place!!! Not only are they a local family (fun to support!) but the food is amazing. There are more flavors than you could ever imagine and the chocolate chip cookies are divine!
They won Food Network's Cupcake Wars for a reason! Delicious...period. Hello Dolly bars, lemon squares and custom cakes are my favorite! So glad they are in my hometown!
