Cafe within the Cathedral. You can let the reception know and enter the cafe without the need to buy tickets for visiting cathedral. We visited on a Monday lunch time and it was busy. We can grab a table nevertheless. The sandwiches and soup are nice. The cakes are great too. Staff are friendly and efficient.
Unbelievable location for a lovely cafe (inside the cathedral). Great service and a very spacious historic place. It feels like you're eating in one of Harry Potter films - truly magical ;)) …

We had really high hopes for the Breakfast with Santa experience at Chester Cathedral. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations, the food was dreadful. Cold and dry. The Santa was terrible. Please don’t waste your money.
