Lovely mock Victorian look about the shop interior itself very inviting . The pies and mash on offer with liquor was very tasty along with a quality cup of tea . I will certainly go back I just hope the shop gets enough custom because it deserves to succeed but isn’t in the main drag in Chelmsford . The food is better than it’s also well known competitor which benefits the high street location

Wow what a pie mash shop, been trying to go here every week now, as it tastes so good and it's strange why it's always empty, one of the best out there for sure, crispy crust and a completely filled inside with loads of gravy inside the pies also, I gave 4 stars because last time I went the mash was completely full of lumps which wasn't edible unless you like that kind of thing haha

My meat free pie was loaded with filling, mash and liquor was amazing with chilli vinegar. Lovely and open space to eat with friendly staff

1st time here .have been eating pie and mash all my life .saw this one today so thought we would give it a go. It was perfect . So much meat in the pie . Will definitely be going back. Give it a go you won't be disappointed. Forgot to say how happy and friendly the staff are .

Superb and traditional Pie Mash worth every penny. Spot on. Generous and very friendly staff all round welcoming place for a meal.maybe they would introduce mushy peas on top optional extra..but happy experience.

Best pie and mash- I am so glad they do a vegan option. Since going veggie I have not had a decent pie and mash but now I have found one!
Service was second to none and even had lots of time to talk to me about the history of F Cooke's, they have been making top pie and mash since the 1800s! Incredible!
