The Ivory Peg

Lovely restaurant. Lots of seating and the atmosphere is cosy. The menu has a wide range of food and drink. The food arrives very quick and it is very nice. You can order on the app straight to your table if you wish. There are nice toilets available. Staff are friendly, nice and helpful. Highley recommended eating here or getting a drink.

Another City.... Another Wetherspoons.. Another Carpet.. So, I guess this Wetherspoons lacks kerb appeal from the outside. As you walk in, the bar is situated along the back. There is a slight raised 'restaurant' area to the left which looks out onto the road. The lower level has a variety of seats. There are a number of fruit/gaming machines to the right near to the water on the end of the bar. The toilets can be accessed this way, and yes they are up a number of stairs. (There is a accessible/disabled toilet downstairs) It's not the best atmosphere for a Wetherspoons but it is ok. The staff were all polite and friendly. We ordered part from Steak Club and part from Afternoon Deals.. The gammon meal was good, the small fish and chips was not the best, the batter was well overcooked. All in all an ok Wetherspoons with pleasant staff, clean toilets and staff regularly collecting glasses and cleaning tables.
