Highway 58 Bbq

This little barbecue shack is next to Ace Hardwardware on Highway 58. Our favorite is the stuffed baked potatoes filled with cheese, sour cream, BBQ chicken, beef or pork, and sauce. It truly is two meals worth of meat in one. The meat has a light smoky flavor and is not too salty. I'd like to try the fried bologna sandwich next. It is is take out restaurant and they have very fast service.

Great, little hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. Plenty of selections via their menu to please most anyone. As an onion ring connoisseur, I love finding independent places that make their rings from scratch. This one doesn't disappoint. We chose to dine in as the temps were around 90 with high humidity, so eating in the comfort of A/C won out over our tent campsite. Very small dining area, but it was a non-issue as most of their traffic seemed to consist of take out orders. We had pulled chicken sandwich, baked beans, onion rings, bbq pork nachos, potato salad, and strawberry cobbler. Total including tip was around $30 for two people.

Delicious, Tender, Juicy, Smoky, Flavorful Ribs Though late in the evening, HWY BBQ was still serving. We picked up a full slab of ribs -- a lot of meat for a good price! (That generous portion fed us for two days.) The staff answered all our questions, did not make us feel rushed, and were very friendly. Those Delicious, Tender, Juicy, Smoky, Flavorful Ribs were exactly what you hope for in a great BBQ place. Thanks!

It is literally a hole in the wall with about 4 tables next to an Ace hardware. I was honestly irritated that my boyfriend picked this place to stop. However I am so glad we stopped. The taste was amazing. The ribs literally fell off the bone. My only complaint is that my Cajun fries could have had a tad more kick. However my fried okra more than made up for my fries.
