Mamma Maria's Italian Eatery

Went for my birthday dinner, while we were away at a cottage. Fantastic experience. Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Our service was exceptional. We have a toddler and she was great about getting us a high chair, getting bread and our little ones food out quickly. The food was phenomenal! The portions are very generous and we had leftovers. Lovely light and scrumptious dessert for my birthday too. Would highly recommend!

My wife and I went to Mamma Maria’s for dinner and it was a wonderful experience. We haven’t been in about 3 years so we were very happy to see the quality was still excellent. Our server was polite and friendly. The food was delicious. Added bonus they have Bayside Brewery beer! We will definitely be back.

I have used Momma Maria's takeout menu TWICE for my bridal shower and my bachelorette party, and they are nothing but truly *awesome.* The quality of the food is top tier and for what you pay for you get so much and more! The food was a hit for all of my guests and everyone got to take leftovers home and raved about it to me days later. Shout out to Michael in Management for his excellent customer service and for pointing me in the right direction for my food selections!! I was extremely happy with how things turned out and so were my guests. Thank you thank you. I will absolutely be back. Customer of life.

Only Recommend if you really want some Italian in a small town and is aware of the large quantity of food with alright taste. To start, the restaurant has some pretty cute wall painting of Italian scenes. The servicer seems to be nice enough, but felt like I was he was upselling. We walked in late at 8pm, I told the server that we want a light dinners. I ordered a seafood pasta (comes with a side), a small caprese salad and a calamari. I asked him twice about the size of the dishes and saying that we are not that hungry. He assured me that it will be fine. Normally if the size is not huge, my order should be ok for two. However, I was very wrong. The small caprese salad was four huge pieces of cheese and tomato, calamari ( mixed with jalapeños etc) was 3 times the size I thought it would be, and the Pasta came with two person’s portion with full size soup. It was no where near “lighter”.I did mention to the waiter about the huge portions, he joked about “it is a good problem to have”….. he also tried to down play the size of the pasta after I commented on the large size of the “appetizer”…..having too much food or with potential waste and being lied to, none of these are a good problem to have. Now, the food. The full size soup (Italian wedding) was a bit too salty. Calamari was pretty decent. The pasta was definitely not Al dente, flavour of the sauce was alright, two large shrimp, fresh muzzle but mixed with tiny and not so fresh scallop. Overall, a decent local place to visit, but please be aware of portion control if you care about that kind of stuff. I try to be objective about my experience on the service and the food.

Excellent food, excellent service. I repeat, excellent food. Perfect for a celebration, date night, or even just picking up takeout (best takeout special in town!) I just wish there was something to help soften the noise. I'm sure the intention is to feel like a busy trattoria in an Italian village but the amplification can be distracting and overwhelming.
