Tommy's Malt Shop

Tommy's Malt Shop is a very classic joint, evokes that great 70s diner vibe. They sport a WIDE range of malt flavors and various hearty meals, I went for the Smoky Southwestern burger and a Marshmellow malt. Everything was super, the staff was amazingly fun and chatty, very caring and they made sure we had everything we needed.

Really great food and milkshakes! The burgers were really good, but the beef patties were a little thin. Of course, that is on the menu. So just be aware of that if you like a bigger burger. All come with fries, and those were very good too. Milkshakes were amazing! There’s only a slight difference in the full and half size. Both give you the extra cup of leftover milkshake, but I’d say there’s about an “inch” difference in the extra cup. Regardless, the chocolate is very good! Service was great. This place is mostly ran by younger people/high school students. All of the staff we encountered were nice, kind, and attentive. Super friendly! When in the area again, I will return. :)

Last time we were in we had one of the best servers I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. It was a little disappointing they didn’t have any onion rings available but most places are out of stock on those right now. My burger was the 50/50 burger and this time they did do it a little over done, but hey we had a very big group and everyone else was very happy on everything. We did get the cheese curds which were great. And I ordered an off the menu malt that was absolutely fantastic. They are very accommodating when it comes to special requests. A lot of places could learn a lot about how to do things. Food and service is top notch.

They have some of the best shakes I've had in a long time. I got a chicken sandwich and was delicious. The owner even took the time to talk with us, get to know who we were and we got to really know him as a well. Love this place. Would definitely recommend going for great food and wonderful atmosphere!

Shakes are never a disappointment. Great burgers, tater tots and sweet potato fries. If you don't like a lil dark sweet potato fry let the staff know. The staff check in at appropriate times and are incredibly friendly. I bypass many burger places to get there, so you know I obviously suggest Tommy's Malt Shop!

I love their malts there. We tried the chocolate malt and it was delicious. Also their onion rings are great and they serve a generous portion for the $5.98 appetizer order. I ordered the California burger. The fries were fine. My problem is specifically with the burger patty. It tasted like it was just a frozen patty and it lacked flavor. If the owner is reading this review I want you to know that you'll have much more customers if you make fresh and well seasoned patties instead of frozen flavorless ones. This minor change can totally change the game for you. I would have given five stars if the burger quality was better.

Went in on a Sunday evening trying to grab a bite to eat after a weekend of traveling. We were sat right away but sat there for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us in any way, shape, or form. We had our 3 year old son with us too. The person i assumed was our server spent the entire time at 1 table. Then he went and split their check. And then went to go take care of the payment. We counted 4 other people just standing there. Why could they not at least bring over waters and say our server would be over soon? Why couldn't he at least acknowledge we were there? We packed up and left. The host said goodbye and even thanked us for coming. Oblivious to the fact that she had just sat us less then 20 minutes before and we were walking out. But I could see that our table was cleaned off before we got our kid into his car seat and then resat before we pulled out of the parking lot. That's when we saw the server bringing waters over to the table sat 10 minutes after us. I don't think we need to be coming back when its clear that customers are not a priority and neither is teamwork or helping a fellow employee. The manager did nothing to help either.
